Titans Make Major Jersey Change to Usher in New Era

The Tennessee Titans have the number one pick in the NFL draft, and seem to be going all in on ushering in a new era. Referred to as "Titans Blue", the Titans are now making their light blue uniforms the team's primary home uniforms, seemingly ushering in a new era for the franchise.

This is especially prominent given the team seems almost certain to draft quarterback Cam Ward, which should be the start of a turnaround for the franchise.

The Titans' blue originates from a similar color to what the Houston Oilers wore, the team the Titans molded from.

The franchise moved from Houston to Tennessee in 1998, originally remaining the Oilers, but eventually changing to the Titans a year later.

The Titans haven't been a great team for the last few seasons. Their last winning season came in 2021 when they finished 12-5 with Mike Vrabel and Ryan Tannehill running the show.

They will look to return to winning ways with head coach Brian Callahan's second season.

The team has had a good offseason in general, adding multiple pieces on the offensive line and some other small veteran pieces.

The team has a chance to be much improved in what should be a wide-open AFC South division, even if Ward is drafted and isn't a top-tier quarterback right away.

The Houston Texans are weaker now after trading some offensive line pieces, mainly getting worse by trading left tackle Laremy Tunsil.

The Jacksonville Jaguars were also bad last year, and could also be a dark-horse team to compete for the top of the division if they use the fifth overall pick well.

The Colts should be a solid team yet again but are a bit of a mess with their quarterback room consisting of Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones.

All three teams seem solid on paper, but none stand out as clear favorites to win the division. That gives the Titans the potential for an exciting season that will feel even more exciting with new uniforms for every home game.

While the Titans still have a lot to go to drum up excitement with the fans, they are making great progress with changing their primary uniforms to a classic, flashy color as well as likely taking a new quarterback with the top pick in the draft.

They will likely be more fun to watch this season, but they could also challenge for a playoff spot, which would be a huge, fun turnaround from the worst team in the NFL to a playoff spot.
