Caitlin Clark has become one of the biggest names in sports. No, she's not just one of the biggest names in the WNBA; she has become a legitimate global icon in the sports world.
Following her amazing run in college with the Iowa Hawkeyes, where she brought major viewership to the sport for the first time, she has gone on and already become a star at the professional level with the Indiana Fever.
With her second season just a few short weeks away, fans are excited to see what she has in store. Her rookie season was full of broken records and the same level of dominance that she showed in college.

Throughout the course of her first offseason as a WNBA star, Clark has been all over the place. Anything she has done has become newsworthy. Plenty of interviews have been done with her as well.
A recent interview with Clark was conducted by ELLE Magazine. In that interview, Clark was asked about her favorite athlete and who has inspired her the most in the world of sports. She had a very clear answer to that question.
Clark is a huge fan of Serena Williams.
"I loved Serena Williams," she said. "She was probably my favorite athlete of all time. I just thought she was the greatest—and as a young girl, having someone like her to look up to was incredible."
Earlier in life, Clark tried to play tennis. She jokingly talked about her short-lived career trying to emulate Williams.
"I got kicked out of tennis class when I was like 10, so that didn't last long," she laughed. "I got mad at the instructor because I thought it was too easy."
Moving back to her basketball career, Clark is coming off an impressive rookie season. She played in 40 games, averaging 19.2 points per game to go along with 8.4 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals. In addition to her averages, she shot 41.7 percent from the floor and 34.4 percent from the three-point line.
Behind her impressive individual performance, Clark helped lead the Fever to the playoffs.
In year two, the expectations are higher. Clark is expected to be an MVP candidate. She will also be expected to power Indiana back to the playoffs again.
As the pressure keeps rising, Clark has continued to remain cool, calm, and collected. She has not disappointed fans yet, and that trend should continue during the 2025 WNBA season.
