WWE News: Rhea Ripley, Kairi Sane Pay Tribute to Zoey Stark After In-Ring Injury

Professional wrestlers and fans alike have all gotten behind WWE Superstar Zoey Stark after she suffered a legitimate injury during a match on Monday Night Raw.

The incident saw Stark hitting her signature springboard missile dropkick against a returning Kairi Sane. However, she landed incorrectly, leading to a brutal-looking injury to her knee.

Stark was immediately tended to by ringside doctors who tried to help her walk backstage. When she couldn't put any weight on her leg, the doctor carried her.

Since the incident, countless wrestlers and fans have paid tribute to the talented Superstar, including her fellow wrestlers in that match.

"Professional wrestling can be very real and dangerous," said Rhea Ripley. "Tonight continued to prove that anything can happen. Wishing [Zoey Stark] a speedy recovery!"

"I truly hope we get to face each other again when you're ready," Sane said. "Wishing you a smooth recovery. #Respect."

Ripley and Sane would go on to finish the impromptu match, much to their credit. Ripley would wind up pinning Sane, earning a spot in the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match.

Multiple current and former WWE Superstars have also paid tribute to Stark after the incident.

"No matter how much respect Pro Wrestling gets, it'll never be enough," said Shane Helms AKA The Hurricane. "Every bump causes damage if even on a micro level. And some can be life altering. Get well soon, Zoey Stark. We all ❤️ ya!"

"I love you Zoey stark and I'm keeping you in my prayers," Natalya Neidhart said on social media.

"Wrestling is a beautiful and dangerous sport," said former AEW Women's Champion Thunder Rosa. "We give our all every time we step in the ring and we also risk a lot when we do what we love. Zoey Stark, I love you sister and I hope you recover soon"

Stark made her WWE debut on 205 Live in 2021 before moving to NXT and then Raw in 2023.

Stark held the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship alongside Iyo Sky.
