What Time 'Spy X Family' Is Released and How Many Episodes There Will Be

Tatsuya Endo's manga Spy x Family is finally being adapted for the small screen, much to fans' delight.

The series follows spy Twilight who has to build himself a fake family to complete his latest mission. He enlists the help of a young girl named Anya and a woman named Yor, aka Thorn Princess, to do so.

What Twilight doesn't realize, though, is that Anya and Yor just so happen to be a telepath and a professional assassin, respectively.

What Time Will 'Spy x Family' Be Released?

Spy x Family will premiere on Crunchyroll as part of the anime streaming platform's Spring 2022 season.

The action-packed series is set to launch on Saturday, April 9 with its Japanese simulcast airing on a weekly basis thereafter.

Spy x Family will be released at 8.30 a.m. PT on Crunchyroll in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS.

8.30 a.m. PT is 9.30 a.m. MT, 10.30 a.m. CT and 11.30 a.m. EDT in North America.

For fans of the anime based in Alaska and Hawaii, the anime will be released at 7.30 a.m. AKDT and at 6.30 a.m. HDT on Saturday, April 9, respectively.

How Many Episodes Will 'Spy x Family' Have?

The manga for Spy x Family is currently being released in Japan via Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ and has been collected into nine physical volumes so far, with more than 12.5 million copies in circulation.

Viz Media publish the English version of Spy x Family, and seven volumes have been translated and released by the company as of Tuesday, April 5.

The anime is being produced by WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks, and Hunter x Hunter's Kazuhiro Furuhashi is directing the series with The Promised Neverland's Kazuaki Shimada creating the character designs.

It has not yet been confirmed how many episodes the first season of Spy x Family will have, though during Jump Fest 2022 it was confirmed the anime would have a two-cour split season.

This means that fans can expect the anime's first season to be released in two halves, and it is understood by Newsweek that a cour typically has 11-13 episodes per half.

Will There be an English Dub for 'Spy x Family'?

As with all anime, fans might be expecting Spy x Family to have an English dub available for fans to enjoy as well as the Japanese simulcast.

So far no announcement has been made on if there will be an English dub, when it may be released, or who might star in the voice cast.
