Handing over money for a daily coffee is a financial strain most people just grin and bear. However, one Starbucks customer has gone above and beyond to avoid paying a.
Coffee aficionado and TikTok user Cosette Manson shared the unique way she avoids spending $7 a day on coffee: by building her own at-home Starbucks.
Manson has a corner completely dedicated to her coffee set up, with multiple espresso machines and shelves of syrup pumps to make her favorite Starbucks orders from the comfort of her own home.
She took to TikTok to share her impressive set-up, writing: "POV: You built yourself a mini Starbucks and now you never have to pay $7 for a drink ever again."
According to research by The Perfect Brew, the average woman spends around $2,327 on coffee per year while men spend around $1,934, so wanting to skip the cost is unsurprising.

But Manson doesn't simply make her coffee at home: she recreates elaborate Starbucks menu drinks using the same syrups and even reuses plastic cups from the coffee chain to get that in-store feeling in-home.
Her coffee bar included Torani syrups and sauces, Monin syrups, and a Nespresso original CitiZ&Milk machine among other elaborate machines and ingredients.
Manson says that you don't need fancy machines to get that Starbucks feeling at home though. In one video she calculated the ingredients per cup for her iced vanilla latte to be just $1.05 and used an AeroPress coffee maker for the espresso, which retails at $30.
It might not be for everyone to bring Starbucks to their living room, but for those who find themselves chugging back fancy coffee orders everyday, investing in an at-home version could be worth it. "It's a lot up front, but it's a long-term investment and the cost goes down the longer you use it so it's worth it if you're getting Starbucks everyday," confirmed a fellow coffee lover in a comment on the TikTok video.
Manson's video left other customers jealous of her very own Starbucks, with one user writing: "You are living my dream."
That's not to say everyone was on board though, as many noted the extra effort taken to learn to make each different coffee.
Learning to make coffee is no issue for Manson however, who has a constant stream of TikTok videos showing the recipes for her favorite Starbucks drinks, ranging from an iced chai with matcha cold foam to a cake batter iced caramel macchiato.
In fact, for Manson, having to make the drink herself is one of the real advantages. "Truly nothing better than being my own barista, drinks are always consistent, I can literally make any drink in the world," she wrote.
Plus, making your own drinks makes ordering a judgment-free zone—something coffee lovers have felt is lacking thanks to the rise in baristas taking to TikTok to share their views on your orders.
