Stay Close, the newest adaptation of one of Harlan Coben's novels, landed on Netflix on Friday, December 31.

The show is the fifth adaptation of one of Coben's books to be made for the streaming platform, following Safe, The Stranger, The Woods and The Innocent.

The eight-episode limited series follows three characters whose lives are turned upside down following multiple disappearances.

Here is everything you need to know about the actors who star in the show.

Who Stars in Netflix's 'Stay Close'?

Stay Close focuses on three characters: Mom Megan Pierce-Shaw, photographer Ray Levine and detective Michael Broome.

Broome is a burned-out cop obsessed with solving a cold case from 17 years prior, an incident where a local man went missing without a trace.

James Nesbitt, of The Hobbit and Cold Feet fame, plays the role of the detective who decides to take on the new disappearance case in the hopes it'll help him solve the one that has been haunting him for almost two decades.

Cush Jumbo portrays Megan, a woman who is engaged to be married and has three kids.

The young parent previously worked as a stripper, and over the course of the show, people from her past start to reappear.

Richard Armitage rounds out the main cast, and he takes on the role of Ray who is looking for his girlfriend who has gone missing.

Ray used to work as a documentary photographer but has since become a paparazzo after falling on hard times.

Other cast members joining Jumbo, Nesbitt, and Armitage include Eddie Izzard, Sarah Parish and Jo Joyner.

Is Richard Armitage Playing the Same Character in 'Stay Close' As He Does in 'The Stranger'?

Stay Close isn't the first of Armitage's roles in an adaptation of one of Harlan Coben's novels as he also appeared in The Stranger in 2020.

In The Stranger, Armitage played lead character Adam Price, a man approached by the titular stranger (played by Hannah John-Kamen) who tells him his wife Corrine (Dervla Kirwan) is faking her pregnancy.

The event leads to Corrine going missing, and her disappearance is one of the main mysteries of the limited series.

Despite his appearance in The Stranger, though, Armitage plays a completely different character in Stay Close, and they are unrelated to each other.

Stay Close and The Stranger are available to watch globally on Netflix now.
