Stranger Things loves putting in Easter eggs for fans, and Season 4 was no exception.
Surfer Boy Pizza is the company that stoner Argyle (played by Eduardo Franco) works for, and in the final episodes we see the number for the restaurant. Viewers who call the number (805-457-PIZZA) get to hear a special message from Argyle himself talking about a very specific pizza order.
Netflix has played this trick before. Stranger Things last season also featured a number that viewers could call. Except that time, the number actually set up a huge plot point for Season 4.
Here's what both real phone numbers say if you call them.
What Happens if You Call the Stranger Things Surfer Boy Pizza Number?

Calling the number leads to the following pre-recorded message to be played:
"Surfs up! Surfer Boy Pizza, this is Argyle speaking. We make everything fresh here at Surfer Boy, except for our pineapple which comes from a can. Oh, can you hold dude?
"Brochacos, I just got another order before this dude on hold called it's super specific, like weird specific. You ready? So first, it's got to be a six-inch crust and it's gotta be super yellow. I don't know, don't ask me man. That's what they said. And then we gotta get the red sauce, just up to the edge on the crust. So don't go over.
"And next they want, and this is really important, four chops of white mozzarella, three habaneros nice and bright orange, two green pepper slices, gotta let the habanero sing man. And then one, just one, piece of blue cheese on top. Now I know it's strange. Blue cheese is damn near mold. But hey, have you tried it? Try before you deny bro. Ok that's all I got. Did you get the order? Yeah, cool.
"Ok, sorry brochaco thanks for waiting."
An order that specific has to mean something, but Stranger Things fans have not figured out exactly what that is yet.
What are we to make of the numbers 6, 4, 3, 2, 1 but no five? Or that the numbers add up to 16, which gives you 11 if you take away the missing five. What is it trying to tell us about Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), and what does it have to do with the colors yellow, red, white, orange, green and blue?
Then again, Netflix could just want us to speculate for hours on end to keep the show in our minds during the long wait until Season 5 in 2024.
Season 3 Revealed Murray's Phone Number
In Season 3, Episode 6, we saw Murray's (Brett Gelman) real number (618-625-8313), and that also led to a voicemail message if you called it in real life.
That message read: "Hi, you have reached the residence of Murray Bauman. Mom, if this is you, please hang up and call me between the hours of 5 and 6 p.m. as previously discussed, ok?
"If this is Joyce, Joyce, thank you for calling, I have been trying to reach you. I have an update. It's about, well, it's probably best if we speak in person. It's not good or bad, but it's something."
As Murray and Joyce (Winona Ryder) teamed up in Season 4, this was a clear plot hint at what was to come. Which serves to make the new message all that more intriguing.
Stranger Things Seasons 1 to 4 are streaming now on Netflix. Season 5 is coming in 2024.
