With just three weeks until Super Bowl LIX, Newsweek turned to ChatGPT for its predictions on which teams might meet for the Lombardi Trophy.
So, there's a lot riding on this weekend's divisional-round playoff games as eight teams go head-to-head to decide who will compete in the conference championships.
Who Is Predicted To Play In The 2025 Super Bowl?

"As of January 16, 2025, the NFL playoffs are in the Divisional Round, with several teams contending for a spot in Super Bowl LIX, scheduled for February 9, 2025, at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans," ChatGPT started.
The AI machine seems to think that the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions will make it to the Super Bowl.
"The Kansas City Chiefs, aiming for an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl victory, secured the AFC's top seed and are set to face the Houston Texans," ChatGPT wrote. "In the NFC, the Detroit Lions have emerged as strong contenders, achieving a 15-2 record and securing the No. 1 seed. They are set to play against the Washington Commanders."
ChatGPT, however, noted other predictions for Super Bowl LIX and that they "vary among experts, mentioning that Yahoo Sports projects a "Chiefs vs. Lions matchup, with the Chiefs prevailing," but The Ringer suggests "a Ravens vs. Eagles Super Bowl, highlighting the potential of both teams," and the New York Post sees a "Ravens vs. Lions Super Bowl, with the Lions clinching their first-ever championship."
"While these predictions offer insights, the actual Super Bowl contenders will be determined by the outcomes of the upcoming playoff games," ChatGPT wrote.

ChatGPT noted "other notable contenders" like the Philadelphia Eagles (+450), Baltimore Ravens (+500) and Buffalo Bills (+500).
