Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene warned this week that the recent ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court in Texas, relating to the U.S.-Mexico border, is going to put the state at "war" with the government.
On Monday, the Supreme Court sided with President Joe Biden's administration in a ruling that requires federal agents in Texas to remove razor wire that was placed along the U.S.-Mexico border in the state.
In response, Greene slammed the ruling on Tuesday during an interview with Real America's Voice and said, "I'm extremely concerned about that Supreme Court ruling...we literally saw a ruling that's going to put the federal government at war with the state of Texas."
Greene said that it is "the most radical, devastating thing that we have seen happen in a Supreme Court ruling."
"I think Texas needs to stand their ground and we should join Texas in their fight against the federal government to defend their state, defend their border, defend their people," Greene said.

The ruling this week comes amid ongoing battles between Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the Biden administration concerning the U.S.-Mexico border and the influx of migrants in Texas.
"I officially declared an invasion at our border because of Biden's policies," Abbott wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter, in September. "We deployed the Texas National Guard, DPS & local law enforcement. We are building a border wall, razor wire & marine barriers. We are also repelling migrants."
In response, Biden filed a motion to vacate a ruling by the Fifth Circuit courts in October, which was granted by the Supreme Court this week.
Following the ruling, a spokesperson for Abbott's office told Newsweek that the Biden administration's stance on removing the razor wires has opened the "floodgates to illegal immigrants."
"The absence of razor wire and other deterrence strategies encourages migrants to make unsafe and illegal crossings between ports of entry, while making the job of Texas National Guard soldiers and DPS troopers more dangerous and difficult. This case is ongoing, and Governor Abbott will continue fighting to defend Texas' property and its constitutional authority to secure the border," the statement to Newsweek said.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton responded to the ruling saying, "The destruction of Texas's border barriers will not help enforce the law or keep American citizens safe. This fight is not over, and I look forward to defending our state's sovereignty."
Newsweek reached out to Greene and the Supreme Court via email for comment.
