Sweet Life: Los Angeles is returning to HBO Max for Season 2.

The unscripted series, executive produced by Emmy and Golden Globe nominated actress Issa Rae, premiered last year on the streaming platform.

The show, named after the Frank Ocean song Sweet Life, gives viewers an insight into a group of young, Black, ambitious friends pursuing their dreams in South Los Angeles.

Season 1 of Sweet Life: Los Angeles explored themes of loyalty, legacy and love, as cast members attempted to navigate their way through their chaotic mid-20s, and no doubt Season 2 will feature similar dilemmas.

When Is Sweet Life: Los Angeles Season 2's Air Date?

Sweet Life: Los Angeles Season 2 will premiere on HBO Max on August 4, it has been confirmed by the streaming platform.

There will be 10 episodes in Season 2. The first four will be released simultaneously, with more episode drops following in the weeks after. The Sweet Life: Los Angeles Season 2 release schedule can be seen below:

Episodes 5-7: August 11

Episodes 7-10 (finale): August 18

Season 1 of the show started at a similar time last year and ended in September 2021, with another installment then being confirmed a few months later on the show's official Instagram.

Following the renewal, Rebecca Quinn, SVP, non-fiction at HBO Max, said in a statement: "Fans are really embracing this endearing, entertaining and ambitious group of friends. We can't wait to see where they take us for season two as they continue to shine an important light on Black culture in South Los Angeles."

Who Is in the Cast of Sweet Life: Los Angeles Season 2?

According to HBO Max, the Sweet Life: Los Angeles core cast this season will comprise Amanda Scott, Briana Jones, Cheryl Des Vignes, Jaylenn Hart, Jerrold Smith II, P'Jae Compton, Rebecca Magett, Rob Lee and Tylynn Burns.

Issa Rae, Montrel McKay, Jimmy Fox, Sheri Maroufkhani and Leola Westbrook will serve as executive producers.
