Jodi Kreyman's life as an above average height high schooler is the focus once again in the Netflix movie Tall Girl 2.

Ava Michelle is returning to the role as the self-conscious, six-foot-plus, 16-year-old while the majority of the cast from the first Tall Girl movie are also returning.

Although life is better for Jodi in Tall Girl 2, her insecurities and high school drama resurface as she lands the lead role in the school play.

Tall Girl made a big impression on Netflix viewers when it was first released in September 2019, so much so that just two and a half years later, a sequel is arriving on the streaming service.

Here's everything you need to know about Tall Girl 2.

When Is Tall Girl 2 Available On Netflix?

The titular Tall Girl, Jodi Kreyman, is played once again by Ava Michelle who is no longer an outcast at her school after her rousing homecoming dance speech in the first movie.

Sabrina Carpenter (Sofia the First) is back as her sister Harper Kreyman, while Steve Zahn and Angela Kinsey are back as Jodi's parents.

Griffin Gluck is back as Jack Dunkleman, Jodi's lifelong friend and now boyfriend. Anjelika Washington plays Jodi's best friend Fareeda while Luke Eisner returns as the Swedish exchange student Stig Mohlin.

Her former bullies Kimmy Stitcher and Schnipper are back, played by Clara Wilsey and Rico Paris, respectively.

Sam Wolfson returns to write the sequel after successfully penning the screenplay for the first Tall Girl movie too. The same trio of McG (Charlie's Angels), Mary Viola and Corey Marsh return to their producing roles too.

New Cast Members In Tall Girl 2

There are a couple of new actors joining the cast of Tall Girl 2, and a new director leading behind the camera too.

Jan Luis Castellanos, who previously played Diego in 13 Reasons Why, is joining the cast as a character named Tommy Torres while newcomer Johanna Liauw plays Stella, who is described as tall and Swedish.

Emily Ting (Go Back to China) joins the team for the sequel, taking on the role of the director. In the Netflix press notes sent to Newsweek, Ting admitted she was nervous about joining an already bonded cast, but had no reason to worry.

"I was not the director of the first one, my fear was that the returning cast would all treat me like the stepmom."

Ting continued: "But not only did that not happen, they all really embraced me and welcomed me into the Tall Girl family."

Tall Girl is available to watch now while Tall Girl 2 will be available to watch on Netflix from Friday, February 11, 2022.
