Tate McRae bumped her debut album a week so she could "fully enjoy" Harry Styles' new album, Harry's House.
The "You Broke Me First" singer took to social media to share a video that has gone viral of her with a picture of someone holding a sign. Published to TikTok, McRae edited a photo that reads "i moved my album a week later so i could fully enjoy Harry Styles album this week." The viral video has over 400,000 likes and has been seen over 1 million times.
"not even kidding ask my label," she writes in her video.
Fans took to the comment section to express their thoughts.
"You better be joking tate," one fan asked.
McRae replied, "ITS STILL NEXT WEEK I PROMISE."
Another fan questioned, "so we would've had your album rn if it wasn't for harry???"
The pop singer responded with, "HAHHAH ya."
"i would've literally been so overwhelmed with both yours and harry's album dropping on the same day," wrote a user.
McRae replied, "same."

"AS A HARRY STYLES FAN AS WELL AS A TATE FAN I THANK YOU FOR THIS CAUSE I WOULDNT HAVE COPED," wrote another fan.
One commenter said, "it's because the album will face too much competition if she drops the same week as Harry."
"well THAT a good reason hahahha would be too much to handle both on the same day," a fan exclaimed.
"Thank you because if it was the same day I would be in a coma rn," another added.
McRae is set to release her debut album, I Used To Think I Could Fly, on Friday with new songs including "I Still Say Goodnight" and "You're So Cool" along with already released singles "She's All I Wanna Be," "Chaotic" and "What Would You Do?"
"The album is a lot. It's really cool because I feel like it's very much sums up the last six months of me arriving in LA and turning 18 and I go through a lot of different emotions which was literally me going through an identity crisis," McRae recently told Total Request Live about the new record.
McRae has over two million followers on Instagram and has released two EPs and countless singers throughout her career. She has over 24.8 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Songs including "She's All I Wanna Be," "That Way" and "Stupid" have over 100 million streams with "You Broke Me First" almost hitting 1 billion with 931 million streams.
