Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and pop star Taylor Swift made headlines over the weekend, as both made appearances on Saturday Night Live after going out to dinner in New York City.
On the latest episode of the New Heights podcast with his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce, Travis talked about his star-studded evening, which attracted plenty of attention from paparazzi. He pushed back when Jason joked that he shoved one of Swift's security guards out of the way.
"I didn't push him," Travis said emphatically. "I placed my hand on the gentleman's back to let him know I was behind him. If I would have pushed him, he probably would have turned around and tased me."
Jason also joked about Travis being a "created character in boyfriend material," as well as how much analysis there has been of the tight end's hand-holding technique with Swift.
"They caught me with some weird hand-holding poses there," Travis admitted. "That was crazy."

The brothers laughed about how odd it was to see their father Ed Kelce interacting with Swift in a Chief's luxury box.
"If you know Dad like I know Dad," Travis started.
"He should not be talking to Taylor Swift," Jason finished.
The duo then agreed they were just giving Ed a hard time.
"You can just see in this picture, all he's doing is just pumping her up," Travis said. "He started listening to her music a little more."
Later in the show, the Kelces took a more in-depth look at Travis' night out in New York. According to Travis, the Saturday Night Live cameos came about organically. He and Swift attended the season premiere to support Swift's friend, rapper Ice Spice, who was hosting the show. Kelce, who hosted the show in March 2023, was excited to see comedian Pete Davidson's opening monologue.
"I will tell you man, it was electric to be back in that place," Travis said. "There's something about being in that room and being the first episode this season, I had such a frickin' blast man. It was a star-studded back room, I'm not the one to throw around names, so I won't, but it was awesome. It was awesome. Lorne Michaels, thank you for having us. It was a pleasure."
Travis was part of a skit that lampooned NFL coverage for being so Swift-centric. After a mock cast of FOX NFL Sunday sang "Bad Blood" and made constant Swift references, SNL comic Kenan Thompson, portraying host Curt Menefee, grew fed up.
"You know what? I'm done," Thompson said. "When we get back, we are going to talk with someone who actually likes football."
The camera then panned to Travis holding a microphone, who said, "Yes, please!"
The SNL crowd erupted.
"I blacked out," Travis told Jason on the podcast. "As soon as they queued to me, the entire place erupted, which was very overwhelming and I'm not even sure if I said anything. I walked off and said 'I didn't say anything at all.' And everybody was like, 'Yeah, no, you killed it.' I watched it over, and I don't really know if I said what I was supposed to."
Swift's "The Eras Tour" is on a brief hiatus, but she is scheduled to perform in Argentina starting on Nov. 9. The Chiefs play one more home game in Kansas City, this Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers, before Swift heads overseas.
