While the internet has been loving the developing relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, there is another connection that has been making headlines.

Swift and Brittany Mahomes, wife of quarterback Patrick Mahomes, are quickly becoming friends after cheering on their NFL partners during the Kansas City Chiefs' recent games—and now they have a secret handshake.

Since Swift started dating Kelce in September 2023, the pair have combined their inner circles. Swift and Mahomes were first seen together during a night out in New York City in late September.

Among Swift's friends who attended were Sophie Turner and Blake Lively, with the dinner coinciding with the Chiefs' visit to face the New York Jets.

The next day, the group, alongside Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy, Sabrina Carpenter, and Hugh Jackman, made their way to the MetLife stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, where the Chiefs came out victorious.

Swift and Mahomes were then spotted the following week, hugging in the crowd at the Denver Broncos vs. Kansas City Chiefs game on October 12.

Then, on October 22, the two women displayed their handshake at the Los Angeles Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium. The endearing moment was caught on camera after the Chiefs scored a touchdown.

Swift and Mahomes can be seen slapping their hands and bumping their hips in a video shared by the NFL. In another instance, they added a jumping chest-bump to complete the handshake. They were seen rehearsing a few routines in Mahomes' suite earlier in the evening.

The Chiefs game marked the team's fifth win in a row this season and, afterward, Swift and Kelce were seen leaving Arrowhead Stadium hand-in-hand.

Swift first appeared at a Kansas City Chiefs game on September 24, which Kelce spoke about during an episode of his "New Heights" podcast three days later.

"I'm enjoying life and I sure as hell enjoyed this weekend," he said. "Shout out to Taylor for pulling up. That was pretty ballsy."

"I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her—the friends and family. She looked amazing, and everybody was talking about her in great light," Kelce said.

He added that the cherry on top was that "the day went perfect for Chiefs fans of course," noting their 41-10 win over the Chicago Bears.

Fast forward to October 14, when Swift and Kelce went out for dinner and attended the premiere of Saturday Night Live, marking their first truly public appearance together.

Newsweek has reached out to representatives for Swift and Mahomes for comment.
