Taylor Swift, Donald Trump Joke Goes Viral

Taylor Swift and Donald Trump have been pitted against each other once again, this time over the number of people they can attract to live events.

The former president just won the New Hampshire Republican primary and has been hosting campaign events around the country. Swift is on a break from her record-breaking The Eras Tour, which will see her perform more than 100 shows across five continents. It has already become the highest grossing tour of all time.

Trump previously became enraged at suggestions he lied about the number of people who attended his 2016 inauguration, and one joke on X, formerly Twitter, poked fun at him by comparing him to Swift.

Someone posted a snippet of Swift performing at the Eras tour with the caption: "What Do you notice About this?"

Another replied with the joke about crowd sizes in a post that has gone viral with 649,000 views at the time of writing.

"That she draws crowds that trump wishes he could draw a third of on a good day," they replied to the original question.

The joke divided people, with some supporting Trump in the replies.

"I think he will show that you are wrong in November," wrote one person.

A second added: "Start out with 1 day with out politics. Then 2. See how much better you feel when you listen to something other than talking heads."

And a third wrote: "Put Trump in a stadium that size and I bet he sells it out."

Another commented: "Apples to oranges. Trump had the most-watched inauguration since inauguration statistics have been kept, with the possible exception of Biden's. And that was for a ceremony, not for a musical performance (there was a speech, but no one remembers it except Jonah Goldberg)."

Swift also beat Trump in the popularity stakes by dominating Google searches in 2023, even when other breaking news events became hot topics of interest, according to research by news site Axios.

While Trump was one of the highest-ranking searches in both the biggest moment and most consistent interest in 2023, he still couldn't beat Swift.

Swift was named Time magazine's 'Person of the Year,' for her "shooting art and commerce together to release an energy of historic force," but Trump wasn't happy with the decision and shared an article arguing why he should have received the honor instead.

Trump posted a DC Enquirer article to his Truth Social platform earlier this written by Reed Cooper, who claimed the former president was a more deserving recipient because "he has been successful at quite literally everything he's ever tried throughout his life."
