In this series, Newsweek is recapping every show Taylor Swift has performed on the Eras Tour, city by city.
Taylor Swift broke tradition by playing three surprise songs at a show in Cincinnati.
The "Look What You Made Me Do" singer plays more than 40 songs at her Eras Tour shows, grouped into the different eras of her career. But she also includes two surprise songs from her back catalog, usually performing them during an acoustic set that has become beloved by concert-goers.
Fans carefully follow which songs she performs each night and try to predict what the star might sing next, and there are endless web pages and trackers devoted to the topic. So her decision to suddenly include three surprise songs at her July 1, 2023, concert at Paycor Stadium was big news for Swifties.
Swift started out with the Evermore track "Ivy", accompanied by musician Aaron Dessner. She then invited her support act Gracie Abrams to join her and they performed Abrams' song "I Miss You, I'm Sorry" together.
The singer then revealed that she would be performing an unprecedented third surprise song, picking "Call It What You Want" from her 2017 album Reputation.

The move dazzled fans, with one of them posting on X: "Getting to experience I Miss You, I'm Sorry (featuring Taylor Swift) and THREE SURPRISE SONGS will forever be one of my favorite memories of 2023, and my life." "Best night ever," said someone else.
Swift played two sold-out nights in Cincinnati before moving on to Kansas City. Sharing images of her concerts in Ohio, she wrote on Instagram: "Cincinnati I couldn't love you more. Had the best two nights with you!!"
She continued: "Last night was so special getting to sing I miss you, I'm sorry with @gracieabrams in the acoustic set and bringing out @aarondessner to play Ivy in his hometown."
