Taylor Swift's Old Gig Photo Resurfaces

After a remarkable 2023, this year is looking to be equally exciting for Taylor Swift. And one fan, reflecting on her rise to mega-stardom, has looked back at where it all started.

Swift recently scooped Album of the Year at the Grammys for the fourth time and was named Time's "Person of the Year" 2023, which is a far stretch from her first gigs.

A Swiftie posted on X, formerly Twitter, comparing an image from one of her high school gigs to a huge stadium she was going to perform at in Australia, and the internet loves it.

The two photos, posted on February 15, were captioned: "Started from the bottom, now we here #MelbourneTSTheErasTour."

Swift opened at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the stadium featured in one of the photos, on February 16 with the first of seven shows.

Her Eras Tour has seen Swift break several records, with the star performing globally, from the U.S. to Japan, Argentina and Australia.

Another fan pointed out in the post that Swift's success was a product of her own dedication: "She's worked and worked and fine-tuned her craft, from her song-writing to her performances. Taylor seems to always be growing and learning. Taylor pushes Taylor."

Swift shared the throwback photo in 2019 when she compared her starter gigs to sold-out stadiums.

She posted on 24 October 2019 saying: "I said in an interview 13 years ago 'I'm just hoping that I have a second album that does as well as the first and someday get to be a headliner, and always be the same person that I started out as.' Scrolling through your posts today has me feeling all the feelings & I want to thank you. Because of you, there was a 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th and 7th album. You guys made me into a headliner because you wanted to see me play. And your support all these years is what's helped me stay true to that kid I was when I started out. #13yearsoftaylorswift."

Swift impressed music lovers and sports fans recently by wrapping up the Japanese leg of her Eras Tour and just a few hours later jumping on a plane to Las Vegas to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce as he and the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII.

Kelce and Swift have become a huge talking point over the last few months, with the pair proving to be the hottest couple on the scene.

Their romance hasn't come without criticism, with some football fanatics accusing the pop star of detracting from the sport with coverage often cutting to her when at games. Comedian and Golden Globes host Jo Koy also took a pop at the singer-songwriter at this year's ceremony when he joked: "The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? At the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift."

It did not go down well with the star, who looked incredibly unimpressed at the remark and was backed up by her loyal online followers who defended her.

The "Anti-Hero" singer also recently found herself being body shamed after a photoshop gimmick. A man posted two pictures of Swift side-by-side on X, the social network formerly known as Twitter. One showed Swift during her 1989 album era in 2014. The other was taken in 2013 during a gig. However, the second image has a handyman photoshopped in, holding a spirit level against Swift's butt, implying that it is flat.

An accompanying caption said: "Imagine you win the Super Bowl, and now you gotta go home and clap this."

However, Swifties were quick to clap back at the poster.
