Sean Hannity went on a rant defending the Republican Party after speculation rose Taylor Swift would endorse Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election.

He shared his views during a "breaking news" segment of his eponymous Fox News show, accusing the singer of believing lies about Republicans.

"Swift has bought into all the lies about conservatives and Republicans, that they're racist, and sexist, and homophobic, and xenophobic, and transphobic, and Islamophobic. [And] that Republicans and conservatives, want dirty air and water, and a total ban on all abortion with no exceptions," Hannity started.

"If she believes all that, she is believing a lie, because those talking points are simply untrue," he said.

Hannity's rant about Swift came after exclusive polling conducted for Newsweek by Redfield & Wilton Strategies found that 18 percent of voters said they're "more likely" or "significantly more likely" to vote for a candidate endorsed by Swift.

Of all the respondents, 45 percent said they were fans of the singer, and 54 percent said they were not. Only 6 percent said they were not familiar with Swift.

The survey, which had a sample size of 1,500 eligible voters, was conducted on January 18 and had a margin of error of plus or minus 2.53 percent.

Swift's influence is undeniable and was seen on National Voter Registration Day in September when she took to Instagram to urge her fans to register on the nonpartisan, nonprofit Vote.org. That led to a surge of more than 35,000 registrations—an almost 25 percent jump on the previous year.

She endorsed Biden ahead of the 2020 election and has previously been critical of Donald Trump who is likely to win the GOP nomination again this year. But Swift has yet to weigh in on the 2024 race for the White House.

People reacted to Hannity's comments on X, formerly Twitter.

"Trump loyalist Sean Hannity goes after Taylor Swift on the very day news reports indicate Team Trump is nervous about Swift endorsing Biden and wants to go after her hard. I guarantee you@RonDeSantis would not be worrying about Taylor Swift," wrote one person.

Another commented: "Hannity's just another MAGA with TDS: Taylor Derangement Syndrome."

And a third added: "It's breathtaking how petrified Trump, Fox, Newsmax, Marsha Blackburn, Megyn Kelly and MAGA Republicans are of one pop singer named Taylor Swift. #VoteBlueToStopTheStupid."

While a fourth posted: "Hey Hannity... those aren't lies, those are accurate descriptions of the Republican Party."
