What Tayshia Adams From 'The Bachelorette' Has Said About Her Break-Up With Zac Clark

The Bachelorette: Men Tell All on ABC this year gave viewers the latest updates on Bachelor Nation. We learned about the aftermath of Will and Peter's Jacketgate, saw how Rodney had dealt with having his heart broken, and got a first glimpse of Clayton Echard as the new Bachelor.

The moment that Bachelor Nation is talking about, however, is what co-host Tayshia Adams revealed about her relationship with Zac Clark, with whom she got engaged to at the end of her season of The Bachelorette in December 2020.

After weeks of speculation that she was no longer wearing her engagement ring, and a confirmation from her people that she and Zac were no longer an item, Tayshia made her first public statement about the break-up on Men Tell All. Here's what she said.

What Tayshia Adams said about Zac Clark

Fellow co-host Kaitlyn Bristowe was the one to bring up the latest developments in Tayshia's life. She asked: "Can you tell us what's going on in your relationship with Zac?"

A teary-eyed Tayshia told her: "All I have to say is that I'm heartbroken, but we tried really hard and I still love him very much and I'm not sure what the future holds. You know how it is, it's really tough." Then, during Kaitlyn's interview with Rodney, Tayshia left the stage to compose herself. "We're going to let Tayshia have a minute," Kaitlyn said of this.

This is the first public comment Tayshia has made explicitly about the break-up. The day prior to Men Tell All, however, she tweeted the cryptic "Trust the process...." She also liked an Instagram post reading: "Finally, I realized that I was never asking for too much. I was just asking the wrong person."

On November 22, representatives for Tayshia confirmed to multiple outlets that the couple were taking a break. This came after fans had spotted her not wearing her engagement ring on multiple occasions, including during the recording of her Bachelor Happy Hour podcast and while she was at the premiere of House of Gucci.

She had refuted the first set of rumors, writing on social media: "There's all these weird rumors circulating around that I'm not wearing my ring and that Zac and I are broken up. I don't know what is happening, but you guys, I was holding my phone with my left hand...I love that there's so much love and support around our relationship, but please don't put unnecessary rumors/pressure on us."

The last confirmed time that the couple were together was November 7, when the pair posted videos of themselves together at the New York marathon on Twitter. Per a Glamour interview with Michelle Young, the Men Tell All special of The Bachelorette was filmed on November 23, just one day after Tayshia and Zac's break-up had been made public.
