The latest trend on TikTok that will seemingly tell you about yourself is the "mental age test" that can apparently tell you whether you're mature or immature for your age.
Quizzes and tests are no strangers to TikTok, especially ones which will dictate uncovered information about the user, like the "Human Feeling Quiz" or "Green Line Test".
As with most though, there's no real evidence of just how legit the results are, but that hasn't stopped TikTok having fun with it.
The trend sees users screenshot their results and share it in a video, writing: "I'm....but my mental age is....." So far, #mentalage on the app has 30 million views while #mentalagetest has 14 million.

What is the 'Mental Age Test' on TikTok?
The test itself is hosted on A Real Me, which is a third-party website for creating online tests and quizzes.
This one in particular was made in Japan in 2013 and has since been translated into 30 other languages, with a reported 27 million people trying out the quiz for themselves, according to the website.
Users span across 150 different countries and the average result age in the U.S. is reportedly 27.61 years old.
As for what your "mental age" really means, the quiz itself defines that "the result has nothing to do with your Intelligence Quotient. For the purpose of this test, we define Mental Age as a measure of a person's psychological abilities in comparison to the number of years it takes for an average child to reach the same level. For example, if your mental age is 10, regardless of your actual chronological age, you are mentally similar to a 10-year-old."
Newsweek however is unable to confirm just how accurate those claims are.

How to Take the 'Mental Age Test'?
The quiz can be taken here, and will first ask you to input your actual age, though you do have the option to keep it a "secret."
It mainly consists of various "true" or "false" questions based on your personality and life ranging from unsurprising probes like "I always act before thinking" or "I do not like to get up early in the morning" to those less expected, including "I can hit a cockroach with a book" and "I say 'come on!' or 'it must be a great day! To myself every morning when getting up."
The most revealing question might just be the most obvious though, with the quiz asking which social media you choose to spend most of your time on—a seemingly easy answer for most.
If your results aren't too embarrassing, sharing to TikTok after is easy.
Although the quiz doesn't have a sharing option for the app, users are screen grabbing the page and posting it online. You never know, you might just go viral.
