At-home nails have increased massively over the past year, but you may want to avoid trying this one yourself.
Nail artist and TikToker @ilysmnails shared her nail creation featuring an unconventional use of peanut butter, and gained over 17 million views in the process.
In the post, uploaded on August 27, she swiped the smooth peanut butter onto her bare nail, before applying a fake one on top. Next, she dipped the end of the nail directly into the jar, filling the gap with peanut butter, before brushing it into place.
As shown in a following video by the creator, the final nail actually stayed put, likely as a consequence of an un-filmed technique or addition by her.
Naturally, gems were added in a pattern to the base of the nail. The final product actually looks reasonably nice, given the circumstances, but the use of peanut butter hasn't been welcomed online.
"This is getting out of hand," wrote one user.
"You're getting chased by all the dogs," joked another.
"Okay, it's cool, but why?" asked one TikTok viewer.

As pointed out by Mashable, although the nail design appeared to have been done in jest of sorts, tempted viewers shouldn't try it at home with the risk of mold.
Mold and toxins are prone to grow in an environment like peanut butter nails, especially when mixed with water during actions like washing the hands, which causes the peanut butter to dissolve.
Plus, it may not be the most considerate creative choice when it comes to those who have nut allergies. According to the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, as of 2017, 2.5 percent of US children may have peanut allergies.
"Anyone allergic to peanuts? Please be careful and stay away from this nail," wrote @ilysmnails in a pinned comment on the video.
Peanut butter isn't the only shocking tool @ilysmnails has used in her nail designs on TikTok. In fact, she regularly creates food-based nail art, which although may not be to everyone's tastes, certainly rack up the views.
Recently, the creator used a nectarine skin to decorate her talons, while other designs featured taco shells and various fruit peels.
Although TikTok and nails might not have been the best real-life combination this time around, the popular app has birthed some other far more useful nail related hacks.
In August, users learned that silicone makeup sponges were the perfect tool to get that white tip French manicure perfect every time.
