The heartwarming moment a customer brought a 7-Eleven cashier working a tiring 16-hour shift a full meal has melted hearts online.
Posted two days ago, the wholesome video has gained over 3.5 million views, showing how the internet can actually be done right.
TikTok user Demi Lee promised the hardworking employee a plate of food after her initial visit to the gas station store in Las Vegas, but according to her, he didn't believe she really would.
"Went to the gas station for lighter fluid. I told the clerk I would bring him a plate before he got off work. He thought I was lying," said the text-to-voice generator in the video.
Demi Lee first showed the food: a mouth-watering array of mac and cheese, beans and ribs. She pulled up to the 7-Eleven, showing it to be pitch black outside.
"Oh my god," said the cashier aloud when he spotted her entering the store. "I told you I was coming back," she assured in response.
Lee told the worker that her mom wanted to see his reaction, "so I need you to look at it because it's hot." The worker's response didn't disappoint as he was visibly smiling while opening up the care package of food.
"Oh damn, that looks good as s**t," he said. The worker tried one of the ribs on camera, behind the register, thinking that was the only food being given. "Now look in the other plate," instructed Lee.

After seeing all the food, he made a praying hands gesture towards Lee. "You're the best," he said.
"I'm eating it right now," he vowed, as he began to take the plates into the back of the store. The video can also be seen in full here.
In a follow-up video shared to her account, Lee visited the 7-Eleven store again and informed him that the video had gone viral. At this point, it had reached one million views.
The worker praised Lee's cooking in the clip and let her know that he had worked a 16-hour shift and had no way of getting a meal during it. "I was hungry too, and I couldn't get out of here. I had worked 16 hours that day," he said. "You made my day."
@demilee64 Part 2 as promised , safe to say he enjoyed it ❤️

With over three million views at the time of publication, the video has received praise worldwide, especially from other workers who shared how appreciative they would be in such a situation.
"As a gas station worker, specifically night shift, y'all have no idea how much the smallest things mean to us. Lots of negative people walk in daily," commented one TikTok user.
"If someone brought me food like this at work, I'd probably cry. I never get food like this since moving out of my parent's house," added another.
"Over the years there's been so many times I've worked the holidays because I didn't have any kids. And when someone would bring me a plate of food that they cooked themselves, I thanked them so much and then when they left, I went by myself and cried like a baby," recounted another user.
TikTok users have been so touched by Lee's actions, that some have even been leaving the names of their own workplaces, in hopes of receiving similar treatment after she asked where else she should visit.
