A store employee has shared the shocking moment she noticed a customer hiding in the warehouse after-hours.
Sierra Galvez posted footage of the surveillance video to TikTok just one week ago of the event, explaining that she "can't imagine anything scarier than this night."
After a shift at work, Galvez was left more-than-surprised to discover a man lurking behind a cart in the warehouse, causing her to run away and dial 911.
In the clip posted to Galvez's account, with over 9 million views, the worker could be seen strolling past aisles of boxes with a cart, only to stop at a section and double look down it.
"I start walking back there and about almost to the end of that little junk pile is where the returns are, halfway through I stop because I heard a noise and it sounded like paper or cardboard falling and reminder, I kind of joke around that this place is haunted, so I'm freaking out because we always hear noises back there," said Galvez in a video.
Galvez continued to bend down to take a look at the mysterious object after assuming it was simply a co-worker pulling a practical joke. "So, I kind of looked around and there were some boxes in the aisle and so I looked over and I saw a stack of signs tipped over and instantly I'm like, there's something wrong, they're not supposed to be tipped over," she said.

"I look because I see some movement under a moving dolly. The moving dollies have about 2-3 inches of space from the floor," said Galvez.
She explained that she saw a shape under the cart and immediately believed it to be a "cat or racoon" until she saw a hand next to it.
"I slowly look up and I see this dude staring dead in my eyes, that will forever haunt my eyes," she said. "I start backing away because I'm like if this dude has a gun, if this dude has a knife, I am screwed."
Galvez recalled that she "booked it" to the front and turned behind boxes and shelves, but accidentally fell to the floor instead. After her manager didn't arrive, she ran into the back and called 911.
@squintsybengchen Reply to @natashia413 not in it for clout, but to warn people that scary things happen at sudden times ☺️

In a follow-up video, which can be seen here, she can be seen sprinting away before the man appeared out of his hiding place and picked up a boxed generator for himself, before walking out of the warehouse exit.
According to Galvez's TikTok video, the man was found a day later allegedly stealing a trailer in a town 20 minutes away.
Retail workers sharing their experiences with shoplifters is far from unique on TikTok, with workers form Walmart taking to their accounts to spill on how the store tracks theft.
A Walmart employee went viral in January after sharing the process they use to prevent shoplifting after noticing suspicious activity at a self-checkout. According to the worker, they force the machine to pause using a handheld device, before pretending it's broken and offering the customer to use a regular till instead.
@squintsybengchen Reply to @squintsybengchen worst part is, he went in there as a customer and hid in the back, and I at least passed him 2 times without noticing
