A man was vowed to "never work in service again" after sharing a video of a customer slapping a tray of food out of his hand—and amassing over 16 million views on it.
In the video, TikTok user @engteets can be seen stopping and interacting with a customer, as they both glance down to the floor. She suddenly hit the tray out of his hands, sending the food flying into the air and over him and a co-worker.
As explained in a follow-up video, the situation arose after a small amount of juice was spilled on the shoes of the customer, according to the worker.
"This is why i'll never work in service again, all that disrespect because of a drop of juice," said the text-to-speech voice in the post.
The footage shared was captured on the workplace's CCTV cameras and the woman was reportedly escorted out by the TikTok user's co-workers.

"It was Saturday night, I was bussing a table, I picked up a tray in a 'flaying' motion, and a cup fell," he claimed in a follow-up video. "It had maybe less than a shot of Hawaiian Punch in it. It fell on of the ground, not much got on her shoe but she looked at me and immediately said: 'What the f***'s wrong with you, are you f***ing stupid, what are you doing.'"
"I'm like, 'sorry, here' and I start to walk away and she flips the food at me and I just sat there for a while in silence contemplating what I should do and eventually I decided I didn't want to escalate it, or hit her or anything because that was just going to cause more issues and especially in a building full of children, I wasn't about that life."
"I just walked away. I did get really upset to a point, while walking out, I was pretty loud but I walked out, got cleaned up, and went home. My co-workers had my back, escorted her out, telling her that she's disrespectful as hell, so they had my back and that's how I got covered in cheese," he said.

"That was probably the worst Saturday of my life and why I no longer work in the service industry."
After gaining over 1.5 million likes, viewers have rushed to applaud the worker and his reaction in the footage.
"Your patience. Sorry this happened to you, but love your attitude about it," commented one user.
"You can't teach this kind of patience, it's just something you're born with," wrote another TikTok user.
"Omg this made me so sad. But what was pulling up her shorts gonna do?" commented actress Skai Jackson.
The TikTok user's vow to never work in service again coincides with an ongoing server shortage across the U.S., as restaurants struggle to retain workers.
A 2021 study by Black Box Intelligence and Snagajob cited child care, mental health and opportunities in other industries as some of the main factors. Undeniably, the treatment of workers falls directly under mental health.
In the study, 62 percent of servers said they faced emotional abuse and disrespect from customers.
A Miami waitress at Randy's Restaurant was allegedly assaulted by a customer in September, after he became upset over the wait time of his order.
While a 22-year-old hostess at Manhattan restaurant Carmine was allegedly attacked in the same month by five tourists after she asked for vaccination proof upon arrival.
