Travis Kelce has spoken out following a mass shooting that left one dead and 21 injured during the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl LVIII victory parade on Wednesday afternoon.
Approximately 1 million people had gathered to celebrate the team's 25-22 win against the San Francisco 49ers when the shooter opened fire into the crowd.
Kelce has taken to X, the social network formerly known as Twitter, to express his sorrow over the incident.

The Context
The shooting began near a parking garage west of Union Station, located near to the parade's main stage.
More than 800 police officers attended the scene, with the fire department on hand to provide medical attention.
Eight people were treated for life-threatening injuries. Nine children were wounded in the attack, but all are predicted to recover.
DJ Lisa Lopez Galvan was killed in the shooting. The mother-of-two hosted KKFI radio's Taste of Tejano show, with the station posting a tribute to Lopez Wednesday night.
"This senseless act has taken a beautiful person from her family and this KC Community," KKFI said on Facebook.
An investigation into the shooting has been launched, with three suspects arrested in association with the incident.
"The people who came to this celebration should expect a safe environment," Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves told press during a media briefing. "Because of bad actors, which were very few, this tragedy occurred even in the presence of uniformed law enforcement officers, who again ran toward [the suspects] and took them into custody."

Kelce's teammate, Chiefs' quarterback Patrick Mahomes, also took to social media following the attack.
"Praying for Kansas City," the 28-year-old said on X, with his post receiving 9 million views.
Fellow Chiefs' stars Drue Tranquill and Justin Reid also offered their condolences on the social network.
"Please join me in prayer for all the victims in this heinous act," linebacker Tranquill wrote. "Pray that doctors & first responders would have steady hands & that all would experience full healing."
Reid, a defensive back, said he was "Praying for everyone in Kansas City at the parade."
Graves said police are searching for a motive, asking potential witnesses to come forward with any information, including video footage.
