Kansas' governor has officially become a "Swiftie" after deciding to research the pop star once she started dating the Kansas City Chiefs' Travis Kelce.
Taylor Swift and Kelce went public with their romance in October, and she has regularly turned up to watch her new love play, especially at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. They spend their post-game time wining and dining in the city, as well as spending time at Kelce's Kansas City home.
All this has brought much attention to the city and the state of Kansas, where Governor Laura Kelly decided to learn more about the superstar.

"Now that @taylorswift13 has been spending more time in Kansas — thanks @tkelce! — my fearless staff thought it was time I drop everything now and give her music a proper listen," Kelly wrote on X (formerly Twitter) alongside photos of her holding up a music CD and another of her with her staff looking at it.

Kelly then shared a close-up image of the CD to show her staff had made her a personalized Swift playlist.
"Check out the personalized CD with handpicked tracks I received from my staff. It pairs well with the Reputation friendship bracelet a Swiftie gave me at a recent @Chiefs game. What other songs should I check out?" the governor wrote.
Swifties, the name of Swift's fans, often exchange handmade "friendship bracelets" at her concerts, and this was the way Kelce had hoped to meet her before they began dating.

He revealed on the podcast New Heights, which he co-hosts with his brother, the Philadelphia Eagles' Jason Kelce, that he had gone to Swift's Kansas City show in July and made a bracelet with his phone number on it. Kelce had hoped to meet Swift at the show to give it to her but didn't get the opportunity.
"I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings," he said on the podcast in July. "I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.... I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it."
But talking about her on his podcast made Swift take notice of the NFL star.
"This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell," she told Time magazine this month. "We started hanging out right after that."
She continued: "By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard-launch a first date."
