Just when they thought they prevented one apocalypse, the siblings of The Umbrella Academy will once again find themselves having to save the world from utter destruction—except this time around, the troupe will be battling the powers that be of the 1960s.

Netflix released a new full-length trailer (watch it above) for the upcoming new season of Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá's comic book adaptation on Wednesday, and it's loaded with glimpses of what fans can expect to see.

Despite dear old Five's (Aiden Gallagher) best attempts to live in the present, The Umbrella Academy's second season will find him stuck in a different era once again. This time, though, it's the past. The rest of his Hargreeves siblings are living in the 1960s too, but they're scattered about in Dallas, Texas—one of the bad side effects of Five using his powers to escape from Vanya's (Ellen Page) 2019 apocalypse in season 1. With another impending apocalypse on the horizon, the cynical Five will have to hunt his brothers and sisters down again and convince them to use their powers to save the world from a new doomsday slated just before the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

"We know something changes in the timeline. We have to make it right again before everything and everyone we know is dead," Five says in the trailer.

If the first season of the action-packed series is any indication, then fans should already expect Five's mission of reuniting his siblings to face some serious setbacks. For starters, each of them seems to be happily stuck in the past living their own lives and doing their own thing.

Klaus (Robert Sheehan) appears in the trailer living his best life as a cult leader, which is a fitting position for the eccentric psychic medium. His status within the cult may take a beating after he's forced to tell his legion of followers that the apocalypse has now been moved to 1963 and not 2019, like he originally informed them. As always, the Hargreeves clan's dead brother Ben (Justin H. Min) will still be lurking in the shadows and ridiculing Klaus all along the way. As one who can commune with the dead, Klaus is still the only one of the Hargreeves that can see and speak with their late brother.

I'm genuinely not surprised Klaus is a cult leader #UmbrellaAcademy pic.twitter.com/lRxNsttzQx

Meanwhile, the famous Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) has traded in her Hollywood glam of the present for a desk job in the 1960s. And she's just fine living a life where no one knows of her rumor powers—though she still uses them on her siblings.

"I heard a rumor you punched yourself in the face," she says in a dinner-table scene, causing her brother Diego (David Castañeda) to eat his own knuckle sandwich.

Speaking of Diego, the rebellious knife-thrower is spending his hippie '60s in a psych ward, but he's made himself a friend, Lila, played by newcomer Ritu Arya.

And even when they're in the past, Luther (Tom Hopper) still has super strength. But instead of spending his time as an outcast on the moon—like he did in the first season—he's enjoying the reckless glory of being an MMA fighter, of sorts. He remains the burly but sensitive big brother, so it likely won't take much for Five to convince Luther to join his mission as Five's "spotter," otherwise known as a wingman.

are we really gonna ignore diego being in an asylum??? #UmbrellaAcademy pic.twitter.com/KjZc7To0lW

Then there's Vanya, who looks in the trailer to be just as meek and demure as always. But after the hell-storm she caused in the first season (remember, she was the one who essentially brought on the first apocalypse), who can really blame her?

Oh, and the Commission—the trio of Swedish assassins that were tasked with hunting down the Hargreeves kids in season 1—will be back again, causing even more mayhem for the siblings in season 2.

The Umbrella Academy is set to return to Netflix with 10 new episodes on July 31.
