A new billion-dollar construction project in Australia aims to create a "biosphere" environment, featuring advanced anti-aging facilities such as cryotherapy.
The Elysian Fields in Melbourne, designed by Australian developers the Gurner Group, will be based along the Docklands, a region of the city that rests along Hobsons Bay.
The project was designed with a "biosphere" theme and will bring 1,700 new homes to the city. In addition to residential areas, though, there will be a host of new technologies focused on preventing the aging process.
Cryotherapy, IV infusions, dry and infrared sauna, and red light therapy will all be available within the 27,000-square-meter development. Residents will also have access to modern pulsed electromagnetic therapy beds (PEMF), which help calm the nervous system.

Speaking to Business News Australia, GurnerGroup founder Tim Gurner said that the Elysian Fields were designed to "instill a sense of true tranquility" amid the fast-moving city.
"Our aim for this project is to completely transform and revitalize the Docklands, re-energizing it with public gardens, greenery and an unprecedented connection to health and wellness," says Gurner.
"There will be absolutely nothing like this in Australia; this precinct will need to be seen to be believed and we can't wait to launch it to the market later this year.
"When you enter Elysium Fields, you will be stepping into another world – one that is serene, clean, vibrant and grounding, and when you're amongst the project's forest and landscape you'll feel like you could be anywhere in the world, while being right on the doorstep of the CBD."
In a statement given to Newsweek, Gurner said: "We are no strangers to pushing the boundaries of design. Now we are taking this one step further with Elysium Fields. This will be Australia's first next-generation wellness precinct where our homes can make us healthier and have a marked impact on our mental and physical wellbeing."
Plans for phase one of the development, which reportedly cost over $1 billion, have been approved by city officials.
Other features of the development include a "path of life" that runs throughout the site, connecting the buildings with a series of natural pathways. The Elysian Reverse Ageing Medical Clinic will also provide personalized medical check-ups for residents.
On the Gurner Group's website, the developers focus primarily on the project's wellness benefits. The site reads: "Elysian Fields will cater to a wide spectrum of health and wellness needs.
"The inclusion of the Elysian Reverse-Ageing Medical Clinic within the precinct further allows for personalized health plans and treatments, ensuring that wellness is not just a concept but a way of life for residents."
