A video of one bold little seagull has endeared users and gone viral on Twitter.
The viral video, posted by a Twitter user known only as Vickie, shows a seagull walking into a grocery store and stealing a sandwich from the shelves. When the bird gets trapped behind the automated doors, a passerby comes to its aid, cleaning its path.
Once the bird escapes the store with its sandwich, a different passerby tries to catch the bird to grab the sandwich, presumably with the intent to return the merchandise to the store. But the seagull manages to hold onto its meal, much to the delight of everyone online. The video has racked up over five million views.
Vickie posted the video with the caption: "Forgot it's [sic] Crisps and Juice for it's [sic] meal deal."

Another user posted a response to the tweet with his own video of the seagull. Apparently, the bird is a regular of the store.
"I witnessed it a few weeks ago in the same place," they said. "[W]omen in the shop said it's in and out all day."

Many commenters were quick to use the passersby as symbols of the different kinds of people in this world: those that help commit a crime, and those that try to stop it. Or, in this case, the one who helps the bird leave the store with its sandwich, the other who tries to take the sandwich away and the one who simply records.
Said one user: "One human pauses to open the door for it. Another tries to take its crisps off it. All the aspects of humanity in one clip, there."

"Don't forget the one just filming when she could of just helped in the first place," said one in response.
As previously mentioned, many commenters were happy the bird successfully held onto its prize after one passerby tried to take it.
One user said: "What about the woman trying to take it off the bird, for all she knew that seagull could have paid for that sandwich."

"I know damn well that yt woman did not just try and stop that independent bird from feeding its family lmfao," tweeted another.
Apparently, this area is known for its seagull problem.
One user noticed Vickie's account was geotagged and asked: "Is this in Aberdeen? The seagulls there are absolute gangsters."
Whether the cheeky bird did have a family to feed or simply wanted a treat to themselves, no one can say it didn't show a bit of ingenuity to get it.
