A woman has ignited a heated debate online after she altered a pregnancy test to appear positive, garnering disapproval from many.
The now-viral TikTok with over 2.4 million views and 195,500 likes was first shared on May 4, and has since pulled in over 1,700 comments. TikToker @caligurll_98 shared the post along with accompanying sound effects.
According to Statista, 7.92 million women used a home pregnancy test in the United States in 2020, and also reported that Clearblue sold around 6.8 million units of its tests in 2019.
The seven-second clip began with a person behind the camera filming a woman on her phone using what appeared to be Snapchat to doctor an image of a Clearblue pregnancy test.
"Trynna secure the bag," the screen read in text overlay.

The test, which had a clear results screen as it sat on a blanket nearby the woman, appeared to be unused.
"You cannot be for real," a voiceover said. "Oh my God, you for real?"
On the phone, the woman dragged a positive test result that stated the word, "Pregnant" on a little screen, fitting it perfectly into the results window over the image of the pregnancy test.
"No, you for fake, no you for real," the voiceover concluded as the woman moved the altered results window over the image until it fit perfectly.
A debate ensued in the comments with numerous people saying that they were against the move. "This def ain't it," a TikToker commented. "Wow."
Many people think the action is just a bad call. "Yeah...Umm, that ain't cool sis," a viewer wrote. "I really hope y'all ain't out here doing this mess."
Another viewer called the deception "so wrong" on "so many levels, you don't do that to a man, smh."
Others thought the woman might have ulterior motives for the behavior. "Lmao, y'all think she doing that to get a man, no she doing that for the money," a TikToker weighed in.
Still, some wondered what would happen once the supposed father wanted more definitive proof. "Until he tells you to take the test in front of him," a viewer expressed.
Some saw the humor in the situation, while others wanted lessons on how to do the same thing. "Tutorial please," a viewer wrote, with another TikToker adding, "So doing this."
One viewer told the woman to "get that money," adding, "Now you need $600 to go to Planned Parenthood unless he wanna be a daddy!"

This isn't the only viral moment involving relationships. Last month, a woman listed out a series of "green flags" in a man's apartment. Meanwhile, a woman recently spelled out how to predict if your partner will cheat. In addition, the internet slammed a husband for ordering his wife to make dinner at 2 in the morning.
