A bride has been hailed as a "genius" for curing her post-wedding hangover with the help of an IV drip.

Over 4 million people have watched the TikTok video posted by @victoria_foster_beauty, who got hitched to Justin Franklin on October 9.

Foster, 29, a makeup artist from Los Angeles, told Newsweek she ordered the drip three weeks ahead of her big day. She paid $299 for the IV treatment and an extra $150 for the certified nurse call-out fee plus a tip.

The newlywed was hooked up to the machine for 45 minutes as a blend of IV fluids, electrolytes, vitamins, and medications was put into her body to detoxify and help her quickly overcome her hangover symptoms. You can watch the video here.

It isn't uncommon for weddings to be boozy; in fact, a recent study conducted by Alcohol.org found that 53 percent of 1,000 Americans prefer alcohol-stocked weddings over dry ones. The survey also found that 81 percent of women would classify their wedding anniversary as a reason to celebrate with an alcoholic beverage.

Speaking to Newsweek, Foster said: "I drank a lot more than I usually do! I'm the type of girl who has an Aperol spritz or espresso martini at dinner every once in a while so six cocktails and seven shots of tequila was a lot!

"The reception ended at 11 pm but we went to a bar after and got back to our room at 2 am. I was so lit."

The following day, the bride felt nauseous from her hangover but was thrilled that she had pre-ordered the "Hangover' IV treatment," calling it the "single greatest thing she has ever done."

She said: "As she was inserting the needle, I thought I was going to throw up."

"But it worked almost instantly, within minutes I felt better."

"I felt incredible after and ready for a three-mile walk to the beach with my family who was visiting from my hometown El Paso, Texas."

"I'm so glad I could spend the day with them rather than in bed."

"I even had a glass of wine with dinner!"
