Police in New Jersey are searching for a suspect accused of punching a Walmart employee in the face several times because the worker was "looking at him."

The Vineland Police Department are asking for the public's help in identifying the man, who is alleged to have attacked the 64-year-old worker at a Walmart store on 1070 W. Landis Avenue on December 1.

According to police, the suspect punched the victim multiple times in the face "because the employee was looking at him" before fleeing the store.

The employee suffered minor injuries following the attack. The victim was treated and released from the Inspira Medical Center.

Police have released surveillance footage of the suspect from inside the store as part of the appeal to track him down.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s. He was accompanied at Walmart by one male and one female, who police are also trying to speak to in connection to the incident.

"If anyone can identify any of the subjects involved in this incident, please contact Ptl. A. Lane at 856-691-4111," the Vineland Police Department said in a statement. "Anonymous tips can also be made through Citizen Observer."

Detectives said anyone with any information on the attack can also text crime tips to 847411.

The Vineland Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for further information.

The force was previously called to the same Walmart on the morning of November 27 following reports of shoplifting at the store in a separate incident.

Rafael A. Lausell, of Bridgeton, New Jersey, was arrested on suspicion of stealing $74 worth of goods from the store. He was then taken to the Cumberland County Jail after two outstanding warrants were found to be in place for him.

Elsewhere, a man in Florida was arrested on suspicion of punching a fellow Walmart customer in the head because he was taking too long at the register.

Henry Harvey was arrested by officers from the Cape Cod Police Department following an incident which occurred at the Neighborhood Market Walmart store located at the 505 SW Pine Island Road around 7:15 p.m. on December 4.

According to police, Harvey and his wife were in a checkout line when he became irate at the amount of time the customers ahead of him in the checkout line were taking.

Henry is then alleged to have punched one of the customers in the head during an argument.

Officers located Harvey at his home and arrested him on suspicion of battery. The victim was not seriously injured as a result of the attack.
