It's pretty common for cats to dislike having to get in a car. The unfamiliar environment along with unusual movement—and usually a carrier—often leaves them feeling uneasy.
But that's not the case for Zazu, a 5-year-old cat who lives in the U.K. and loves to catch a ride in his owner's car.
"The first time Zazu joined me in the car, I was on my way to Nando's to grab a takeaway. He jumped in and refused to leave," owner Jess, who is the founder of sustainable fashion brand Nurtured Threadz, told Newsweek.

"He sat in the passenger footwell throughout the entire trip and seemed to absolutely love it. It was such a pleasant surprise," she added.
A habit he picked up as a kitten, Zazu still greets his owner at the end of the road every day for a little lift back to the house.
"Zazu has been doing this since he was a kitten," said Jess. "Every day, without fail, he waits for our car. He recognizes it immediately and eagerly jumps inside for a ride to the driveway."
He isn't the only feline to enjoy a little bit of travel. Last year a couple who live on the road with their three cats told Newsweek how their kitties love their nomadic life.
"We wanted to share our lifestyle to prove that you can do van life with cats," owner Chelsea said.
Other cats have captured attention for enjoying long car rides and even a trip on an airplane.
Jess shared a short clip of Zazu arriving for his daily car ride on her TikTok @modern_motherhood where it has been viewed 1.2 million times.
In hundreds of comments people shared their reactions to the adorable bond between the pair.
One commenter said: "That's put a smile on my face for the morning, thank you."
While another wrote: "I think this is wonderful."
Jess' love for her feline travel companion is clear, and she explained he is a huge part of their family. "He really is such a lovely friendly cat and we adore him," she said.
Since she started sharing videos featuring Zazu on TikTok, people have fallen in love with his hilarious antics, something Jess says brings her joy too.
"People love Zazu and ask for videos, so that's why I post him," Jess said. "The reaction is incredible. People love cats."
