A viral video of a dog saved from the sea in Wales, U.K., has delighted the internet this week after it was viewed more than 800,000 times.
Shared on Friday on TikTok, the video from The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) shows how the Spaniel dog Molly was rescued by the lifeboat charity after getting into difficulty in the water.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) saves lives around the coasts of the U.K., the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. With an on-call 24-hour lifeboat and rescue service, and a seasonal lifeguard service on beaches, the charity has been taking care of people on the British coasts since 1824.

In the video, the lifeboat crew based in Rhyl, a seaside town in Wales, are on a small boat when they come across the pup and help her out of the water and into their lifeboat.
A spokesperson from the RNLI told Newsweek: "Molly the Spaniel was rescued in September 2020. She was originally chasing seagulls."
Visiting the beach with your dog can be the perfect way to spend a summer's day, but ensuring your canine friend is safe during beach trips is essential. The American Kennel Club (AKC) says: "The beach can provide new sights, sounds, and smells to experience as well as opportunities for exciting games. However, there are doggie dangers too."
While lots of pups will love the water, it is important to supervise your dog at all times while in the sea, ensuring they don't overtire or swim too far from shore. The AKC also highlights the importance of your dog having good, reliable recall skills and basic obedience behaviors if you're going to allow your dog off the leash at the beach.
Luckily for Molly the dog, two cyclists were nearby and spotted her in the water. They dialed 999 for emergency coastguard services who then notified the RNLI.
"Molly the dog was pleased to be ruined with her owner," said the RNLI. "She had no problems when she returned to shore."
TikTok users were delighted by the heroic rescue and headed to the comments to share their thoughts.
"Cutest rescue I've ever seen," said one reply. "Good work, keep it up!"
Another commenter wrote: "This is why my cocker spaniel doesn't get off her leash at the beach. Glad you were there to save this wee beaut."
One viewer joked: "He only jumped on the boat because it goes quicker to get them seagulls."
"Bless that puppy," said another reply. "I thought my whippet was brainless in pursuit of prey but even she stops at water."
