If you are a fan of Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story and American Horror Story, you will not want to miss his latest spine-tingling series, The Watcher.
The seven-part series is inspired by the true story of the Broaddus family, whose move into their dream home at 657 Boulevard, Westfield, New Jersey, became a living nightmare.
Their ordeal was first detailed in the 2018 The Cut/New York Magazine article by Reeves Wiedeman.
The Broadduses (known as Deana and Nora Brannock in The Watcher), began receiving terrifying letters from an anonymous person known only as the Watcher, taunting them about the move into the mansion, threatening their children, and keeping note of their every move.
Their former home at 657 Boulevard is still standing, but where was The Watcher on Netflix actually filmed?
Newsweek has everything you need to know.
Where Was The Watcher on Netflix Filmed?
Just like the real-life Broaddus, the Brannock family also move into a home located at 657 Boulevard in Westfield, New Jersey.
Unfortunately, filming for The Watcher did not take place at the real 657 Boulevard, but did, in fact, take place in various locations across New York, including Westfield.
The house seen in The Watcher is located at 1 Warriston Lane, in Rye New York revealed by The Sun. Just like 657 Boulevard, the property has has six bedrooms.
Exterior scenes were filmed at the house with interior scenes filmed in a studio.
According to Trulia, an online real estate marketplace, 1 Warriston Lane was built in the early 20th century. The magnificent home costs over $6 million and covers 10,166 square feet with 19 rooms in total, sprawling over four floors.
It is also home to seven bathrooms, a cinema, a full gym, and a basketball court. It is currently not for sale.
In the Netflix series, the home's origins date back to 1921. The real 657 Boulevard was constructed in 1905. Filming also took place in Hempstead and Westchester, New York as well as McCarren Park in Brooklyn from September 2021 to March 2022.

What Happened To The Real Watcher House?
Three days after purchasing 657 Boulevard in June 2014, the real Broaddus family began to receive threatening letters from a mysterious person known only as The Watcher.
The author of the note began to share other details about the Broaddus family, including the renovations they were having done to 657 Boulevard and information about their young three children.
The note also taunted them about filling the home with "young blood," referring to the Broaddus children.
"Do you need to fill the house with the young blood I requested? Better for me," the letter read. "Was your old house too small for the growing family? Or was it greed to bring me your children? Once I know their names I will call to them and draw them too [sic] me."

In total, the Broaddus family received four letters from the mysterious Watcher.
Unlike the Brannock family, the Broaddus family never fully moved into 657 Boulevard. They tried to sell the home in 2015 with no success and had plans to sell the home to a developer, but their application was rejected by the neighborhood planning board.
Eventually, they were able to rent out the house to a family, and in July 2019 they sold 657 Boulevard for just over $900,000, almost $400,000 less than what they paid for the original property.
Today, the Watcher's true identity has never been uncovered.
The Watcher is streaming on Netflix now.
