Two men who apparently crashed an Ohio wedding reception to steal beer were beaten up by wedding guests, police said.
The June 19 reception at the Richland County Fairgrounds in Mansfield, Ohio, was allegedly interrupted by William Beeson, 22, and Justin Crowl, 29.
Wedding guests who witnessed the fight said that Beeson and Crowl came to the John Hartz building from a different area of the fairgrounds, police said. The two men allegedly attempted to take a case of beer from the reception, according to guests. The police report listed the alcohol was valued at $15.
The groom confronted the suspected wedding crashers, but he was allegedly punched in the face by Beeson. A large fight broke out at the reception when multiple wedding guests joined in after the groom was allegedly hit, the Richland County Sheriff's Office police report said.
The police were called to the fairgrounds to break up the large fight. When officers arrived at the reception, the suspects had left. Guests explained the events to police, and deputies located the two men on the eastern side of the fairgrounds, according to the report.
Both men were minorly injured in the altercation. Beeson got a black eye in the brawl, and Crowl was cut in multiple places by a piece of broken glass from a beer bottle.

"The two began to struggle, and Mr. Crowl jumped in to help Mr. Beeson. This is when others became involved. At some point Mr. Crowl fell to the ground, and onto glass. This caused the injuries photographed on him. He also had abrasions to the top of his head. Mr. Beeson had a black left eye, injuries to his jaw, and a bloody lip," police said.
The suspects said they were at the fairgrounds to see a horse show. They told police that they were then invited to the wedding reception by a woman wearing a purple dress. Beeson and Crowl told police that they were attacked without reason, ABC 6 reported.
The fairgrounds hosted the Northeast Organic Dairy Producers Alliance International Hitch Show over the weekend in the draft horse arena. Located in the northeast corner of the fairgrounds near the John Hartz building where the reception took place, the horse show hosted over 300 exhibitors and was free to the public.
Wedding guests denied that the men were invited to the reception and said that they were unwanted guests, Fox News reported.
The two men were booked into the Richland County Jail on charges of trespassing, disorderly conduct, and theft.
