"Ew, David!" may be a thing of the past. Daniel Levy, the star/creator of Schitt's Creek was named one of People's Sexiest Men Alive. This is the first time Levy has been included in the magazine's highly-coveted roster of attractive men.
"This form of sexy is a niche market," Levy jokingly told People. The Emmy winner also dished about what he's been up to while quarantining amid the coronavirus pandemic. Like many of us, Levy was cooking (or at least trying to flex his culinary skills).
"I was trying different pasta sauces, I was making breads, I was baking cookies. I did the Levain bakery chocolate chip cookies that I found the recipe online, and they weren't quite as good," he said. "I did a banana bread recipe that a friend swore by, and then I made it, and it wasn't quite as good. And then, I did a sourdough bread that turned out like a really heavy, dense brick."
Levy ultimately decided to spend his time making takeout orders instead of sourdough starters.

Levy also practiced his mixology skills, making Negronis, Manhattans — and perfecting the iconic Cosmopolitan. "It's my favorite cocktail. Sex and the City aside, it's a very refreshing beverage," he insisted. "But there's an alchemy to a Cosmopolitan that needs to be just right, otherwise it does not taste good. So, I have continually been trying to perfect the Cosmopolitan on the rocks in a tumbler, not a martini glass."
During quarantine, Levy quipped that he tried to make the mundane activities of everyday sexy, such as taking out the recycles. He also took a free online course offered by the University of Alberta called "Indigenous Canada," and encouraged his followers to take it as well.
Within two weeks of telling his followers about it, over 60,000 people signed up.
I have spent the past 13 weeks taking the Indigenous Studies course through the faculty of @UANativeStudies at U of A. The weekly discussions we had were nothing short of transformational. Help me support the faculty by donating here: https://t.co/yCInZbwqeF pic.twitter.com/VXACgYfnW3

Ultimately, he found the necessary time at home due the pandemic "completely transformative," and noted that a "sense of community" has been established, despite being isolated.
"Everyone going through a very similar situation in terms of having the same restrictions on themselves, I think it's forced us to communicate. It certainly opened up lines of communication for me," he told People.
On Tuesday evening's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! the Sexiest Man Alive of 2020 will be crowned. Past Sexiest Men Alive include Idris Elba, John Legend, Blake Shelton and Dwayne Johnson.
