Disney's Star Wars hotel will begin taking reservations this year for vacations in 2021. The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel, which will open at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, will offer guests a two-day, two-night immersive vacation.

Ann Morrow Johnson, executive producer for Walt Disney Imagineering, said in a Disney blog post: "Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is a completely new type of experience. You're going to live onboard a star cruiser...and you can get wrapped up in the larger Star Wars story."

When guests arrive at the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, they will enter a pod that simulates the experience of traveling into space. Through a window, they will see that they are traveling towards the Halcyon ship.

Once arriving at the ship, they will enter into the atrium, before being shown to their cabins. These feature bunk beds similar to what Chewbacca sleeps in, and a window with a view of space.

Adults and children can both take part in activities including lightsaber training and touring the bridge of the ship, where their lightsaber training will pay off as they help defend the Starcruiser. Guests will also take exclusive transport in an excursion to Batuu where they will visit Blackspire Outpost, which is set in Disney's Galaxy's Edge land.

Guests will also interact with crew members and Star Wars characters, which can influence how their Star Wars story plays out. In the concept art of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, Wookiees, droids, and Storm Troopers can be seen walking around the atrium.

How much will the Star Wars hotel cost?

The cost of the two-day experience aboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser has yet to be announced, along with the date when the hotel and experience will open for reservations. Disney has confirmed that the experience will open in 2021.

Currently, Star Wars fans can ride on new The Rise of the Resistance ride, and the Millennium Falcon ride at the Star Wars: Galaxy Edge land in Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida.

Star Wars fans can also look forward to a new Obi-Wan Kenobi series starring Ewan McGregor, which is due to stream on Disney+ in late 2021 or early 2022. The series will take place between Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: A New Hope.

McGregor hasn't played Kenobi since 2005 but said in an interview with Good Morning America: "I'm reminding myself by watching their new films and The Mandalorian and stuff, I really enjoyed. I keep myself as current as I can with the Lucasfilm world. I don't think it will take two minutes; I'll put the cloak back on and I'll be there, I think."

In the meantime, Star Wars fans can go see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in movie theaters and stream The Mandalorian on Disney+.
