After one year of waiting, Season 2 of The White Lotus has arrived on HBO and HBO Max.
The brand new series sees a fresh batch of guests book a stay at the luxurious White Lotus resort in Sicily as well as the hotel chain's regulars, Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) and Greg (Jon Gries).
At the beginning of the first episode, Daphne, played by The Bold Type's Meghann Fahy, chats with two guests before taking one last dip in the sea before heading home. Her moment of pure bliss is interrupted when she swims towards a lifeless body floating in the sea.
"We can't be liable for what happens in the Ionian Sea!" remarks hotel manager Valentina (Sabrina Impacciatore).
However, things are sure to become a major problem for her when the news is broken that several guests in her hotel are dead. Before the killer is unmasked, the episode flashes back to one week earlier, just as guests begin to arrive at the hotel.
As the audience awaits to find out who the killer is and which guests will and won't survive, Newsweek has a look at all of the theories.
Who dies in 'White Lotus' Season 2? Kill predictions and murderer theories

Daphne Sullivan
Killer: Perhaps the reason Daphne is so panicked is not that she saw a dead body, but because the dead body of one of her victims is floating right before her very eyes.
There is not much in the first episode to suggest Daphne has a murderous streak, but she does give off manipulative vibes and is somebody with a nasty side. Did Daphne kill someone for getting too close to her husband Cameron (Theo James)?
Killed: One thing is for sure: Daphne is well and alive by the end of The White Lotus Season 2. The season starts at the end and flashes back and she is the only one confirmed to be alive.
Cameron Sullivan
Killer: On the surface, Cameron seems like a good guy...annoyingly arrogant, but still, a good guy all around. However, just like his wife, Daphne, he too shows signs of somebody who has a much darker side.
It is not clear if it is a male or female body floating in the sea. Did he kill someone who was admiring his wife, or does he have something else to hide?
Killed: At the beginning of the first episode, Daphne appears to be alone on the beach. However, she does run into the arms of a man screaming. It is not clear if the man is Cameron, but there is a solid chance it could be him. If it is, Cameron has lived to see another day!
Harper Spiller
Killer: Unless Harper (Aubrey Plaza) combusts in a fit of rage and frustration, for now, it seems unlikely she would be the one to kill.
Sure, Harper has her opinions, but she seems to have the patience of a saint and is willing to put up with Ethan (Will Sharpe), her husband's, vacuous friends, Cameron and Daphne—despite how mundane she finds them.
Killed: Harper seems like a strong woman, who knows better to kill rather than be killed. Harper's death would be a pretty big twist, but it's impossible to rule out for now.
Ethan Spiller
Killer: Judging by Episode 1, Ethan seems like a chill, fly-on-the-wall, kind of guy, and not a murderer. On the other hand, it's always the quiet ones...
Killed: If major pushover and drama-avoider Ethan Spiller is the one to die, something serious must have gone down. He would perhaps be the most unexpected victim, which somehow makes his murder seem a little too obvious.
Tanya McQuoid Hunt
Killer: A Tanya-style breakdown is never too far away in The White Lotus. Her husband Greg (Jon Gries), is acting very off, especially with the alleged "work calls" in the bathroom. Perhaps a vulnerable and potentially heartbroken Tanya could kill her husband in a moment of passion?
Killed: Considering The White Lotus creator Mike White created the show around Jennifer Coolidge, it would seem unlikely that he would kill her off.
Greg Hunt
Killer: Since it's unlikely that show creator Mike White would kill Tanya, the chances of Greg being the killer are pretty slim. Nevertheless, he appears to have taken a disliking to Tanya's assistant Portia (Hayley Lu Richardson), and when he finds out Tanya did not get rid of her like he asked...perhaps he has taken matters into his own hands.
Killed: If Tanya has a say in the matter and he does not give her the love she deserves, Greg could well and truly be a goner.

Portia
Killer: As of now, Portia has no motive. None.
Killed: If Greg continues to have an issue with Portia, though, her life could be on the line.
Bert Di Grasso
Killer: Bert (F. Murray Abraham) is the least likely of all to be the killer; he is too fragile in his old age to carry out something of that caliber.
Killed: The White Lotus is a dark comedy, but it would be unusual to take the avenue of killing off the eldest man who, despite his political incorrectness, seems innocuous.
Dominic Di Grasso
Killer: It is revealed at the beginning of the series that Dominic (Michael Imperioli), Bert's son, cheated on his wife and that she plans to leave him. As a result, Dominic has turned to drink and sex, crossing paths with a young Italian sex worker. He isn't in a very good place, so it's possible he could lose total control and potentially kill.
Killed: Dominic seems to be going down a risky path of drinking, drugs and sex—who is to say that murder isn't also on the table?
Albie Di Grasso
Killer: Dominic's son and Bert's grandson, Albie (Adam DiMarco), is one of the most unlikely suspects based solely on the first episode. He's young, naive, polite, and on a totally different page from his father. For now, he has no motive to kill.
Killed: Hearts will break if Albie dies. Is it too predictable or is it the reality of the cruel world The White Lotus exists in?

Valentina
Killer: Valentia is the hotel manager of the White Lotus's Sicily location. She is a powerful woman with no filter, but seemed genuinely surprised at the news there were murder victims in her hotel and she seems like the kind of person who knows everything about everything.
The only people Valentina dislikes are the two young Italian sex workers hanging out at the hotel.
Killed: Valentina is 100 percent alive at the beginning of the first episode and is forced to confront the chaos that has unfolded at her hotel.
Lucia and Mia
Killers: Lucia (Simona Tabasco) and Mia (Beatrice Grannò) seem pretty set to get what they want and will stop at nothing...and that may involve taking out obstacles in their way.
Killed: If director Mike White wants to avoid the stereotypical "young, pretty sex worker dies" trope, Lucia and Mia will be two of the characters alive at the end of the season.
The White Lotus Season 2 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO Max and HBO.
