'The Masked Singer' Season 7: Who Is Firefly? All the Fan Theories

The Masked Singer is back for Season 7 and the competition is well underway. Each week, judges Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg will be joined by celebrity guests as they try to guess who the famous face singing under the extravagant mask is.

This year, audiences at home and the judges will be trying to suss out who is under the likes of Firefly, Armadillo, Jack in the Box, Queen Cobra, and more.

Ever since Firefly made her debut on the show on Monday, March 7, fans are certain they know who is behind the mask. Newsweek has a look at all the theories below.

Who Is Firefly? All the Fan Theories

On this season of The Masked Singer, the contestants have been split into three teams The Good, The Bad, and The Cuddly.

Firefly is on Team Good alongside Prince, McTerrier, Armadillo, and Ringmaster. She blew the judges and audience away with her performance of Chaka Khan's "Ain't Nobody," and Michael Jackson's "P.Y.T."

She also sent Ram (sportscaster Joe Buck) home in Week 2, after defeating him in a battle performing "God is a woman" by Ariana Grande, proving she is one to watch.

So far, the judges have guessed Firefly could be Alicia Keys or actor and author Aisha Tyler. But fans are certain Firefly is most likely Teyana Taylor, thanks to the various verbal clues dropped ahead of her performances each week.

In Firefly's first introduction video, she dropped a book which, at a close look, was an Apollo Theater program. The Apollo Theater is a world-renowned theater located in Harlem, New York City, where Taylor is from.

The video also contained a miniature replica of New York's famous Statue of Liberty.

In one of her clue videos, Firefly stood alongside a photograph of director Tyler Perry. Taylor starred in his 2010 hit Madea's Big Happy Family as Sabrina.

Firefly also stated: "I've been performing all my life, and it feels amazing every time I step on stage." Fans of Taylor know she has been in the entertainment industry from a young age, recording her song "Google Me" as a teen and appearing on MTV's My Super Sweet 16.

In her second introduction video for Firefly, there was a puzzle featuring an image of music producer and rapper, Pharrell Williams. As the image appeared on screen, Firefly said: "Pharrell is one of the major keys of my career."

In the early days of her career, Taylor was signed to Williams' Star Trak Entertainment label.

Some other fans believe Firefly could actually be singer Melanie Fiona.

However, based on the clues given in the videos, Taylor is looking much more likely. For example, Fiona is from Canada, not New York and she is not thought to have ties to Perry or Williams.

Nevertheless, some fans of The Masked Singer have thought Firefly's voice is eerily similar to Fiona's.

The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
