Will Smith seemed to have shaken off the controversial Oscars incident in short order as he was filmed singing and dancing at a glamorous after-party.
At the 94th Academy Awards, he walked on stage and slapped Chris Rock after the comedian made a joke at the expense of Smith's wife Jada Pinkett Smith. Smith then had to get back on stage moments later when he was announced as the winner of the Best Actor category, earning him his first Oscar.
Later on in the evening, Smith joked on Instagram that "You can't invite people from Philly or Baltimore nowhere." As is tradition after the Academy Awards, Will and Jada both attended an Oscars after-party and seemingly partied like nothing had happened.

Multiple videos from inside the Vanity Fair party shows Smith holding his Oscar while his 1991 hit "Summertime" by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince plays in the background.
After the main ceremony had finished, and before attending the party, Smith and his family, Jada, Trey, Jaden and Willow Smith all posed on the red carpet together.

Later, The Hollywood Reporter's Nekesa Mumbi Moody captured the moment Smith entered the party as the DJ announced his arrival. Smith is holding his Oscar aloft as the crowd cheers him and takes photos.

The DJ wraps up his speech by saying "Will, I love you. Let's go," and the song "Summertime" starts to play. Smith starts to dance and rap along to his own song while Jada parties next to him as well. In another clip of the same moment from a different angle shot by Marc Malkin, model Winnie Harlow can be seen dancing along to it too.
During the show, Sean 'Diddy' Combs said he was going to help Rock and Smith solve their differences "like family" at the after-party. Combs did also attend the same after-party as Rock but it's unclear whether Rock turned up too.
After "Summertime" had played, the DJ also played another song by Smith. This time he was spotted enjoying himself to the 1997 track "Gettin' Jiggy wit It" in footage captured by Vanity Fair's Katey Rich.

The uncensored footage of the slap has now been viewed tens of millions of times online. The incident caused a huge reaction online with millions of people talking about it online. Smith's son Jaden didn't directly address the incident but did tweet shortly afterwards, "And That's How We Do It."

The Los Angeles Police Department have said they may still launch an investigation into the incident if the comedian chooses to file a police charge at a later date. The LAPD confirmed: "The individual involved has declined to file a police report" but added: "If the involved party desires a police report at a later date, LAPD will be available to complete an investigative report."
