A Labrador has highlighted the importance of indulging in life's simple pleasures in a video showing her enjoying a beautiful sunset.

Juno the chocolate Labrador lives in Toronto, Canada, with her owner Alexx Friesen, and was recently caught on camera basking in the glory of a picturesque sunset from the patio of her home.

Friesen shared the clip on Juno's very own Instagram page, @junothechocolate, where it has since been viewed over 1 million times.

"Take a lesson from Juno - stop and enjoy the sunset," the caption accompanying the video read.

Friesen told Newsweek: "Juno often sits on the patio and people watches. I haven't seen her gazing so intently at the sunset before. I was so surprised and thought it was so sweet, so I wanted to capture it on video."

At just two years old, Juno has been a beloved member of the Friesen family since January 2022. A chocolate Lab with a penchant for belly rubs, treats, tug of war, and swimming, Juno's playful spirit and endearing charm have won the hearts of over 2,800 followers on Instagram, where her daily adventures are eagerly awaited.

Dogs often enjoy a little sunbathe, and it is beneficial for various reasons. Sunshine helps them maintain healthy bones and teeth by providing vitamin D. It's also great for keeping dogs warm and drying out their coat when wet.

But it is important to monitor your dog's sun exposure, as dogs can get sunburn if left exposed to the sun. Heatstroke can also cause serious problems in dogs.

As people continued to stumble on Juno's heartwarming video the comments flooded in.

"Aww what a beautiful girl," said one commenter. While another was moved to go and cuddle their own pet: "I'm gonna go hug my dog now."

"Oh, she's so in the moment. Absolutely adorable," wrote another Instagram user.

One viewer said: "Wholesome neighborhood watch duty as always."

Plenty of people were inspired by Juno's meditative moment. One commenter said: "Life's too short not to enjoy the little moments."

Reacting to the response to her latest video, Friesen was thrilled that so many people had found a little joy in Juno's activities.

"I frequently share to her social media and thought others might also enjoy it. I had no idea they'd enjoy it this much," she said.
