A woman has captured the moment she was left red-faced after dropping a weight in the gym. She was about to give up until something "wholesome" happened.

Katie Fox, 24, has recently started high-intensity training and tends to document her progress by recording her sessions. Last month, she captured the moment she fell over when trying to do an overhead squat.

The on-screen text explained that she felt frustrated and embarrassed in case other gym-goers were staring. Indeed, someone did see what happened but he proved there was nothing to be worried about.

Elijah Mirza, 23, an amateur boxer, inspired Fox to get back up and try again after saying: "All of your failures are part of the process."

This interaction has melted the hearts of the internet and racked up 10.4 million views on TikTok.

Fox, a barista from Glasgow, Scotland, told Newsweek: "I got back up and did what he said. I kept going and managed to do the overhead squat again but with even more weight and even hit a personal best on this lift."

We also spoke to Mirza, who said: "My mindset comes from the boxing—failing is always in my [regime] for success."

Gym anxiety—also known as gymtimidation—happens to more people than you may think, according to a survey conducted by My Protein.

The 2023 survey revealed that 90 percent of 3,000 people are concerned about how other people perceive them at the gym.

Additionally, 42 percent of American adults who exercise admit to having anxiety about how they appear. Still, there's probably nothing to worry about because most people aren't even observing. According to three out of four respondents, they either hardly ever or never judge other people at the gym.

Fox told Newsweek: "I'm a beginner cross fit girl and I'm still learning. I share my fails on my TikTok for people to see the reality of being a beginner.

"I film all of my sets for my own progress and social media.

"Elijah, a stranger, simply supported me and reminded me that it's all part of the process. I really needed to hear those words after a failed lift."

So far, the video captioned: "Little wholesome moment today! First gym session back after Christmas. I'm such an anxious person in the gym," has amassed over 6,500 comments.

"What a great man! Love that vibe in the gym community. Keep pushing," said one user.

Another wrote: "I almost cried first because I could imagine her frustration second because of his kind words."

A third comment said: "This warmed my heart."
