A woman secretly filmed her husband telling her he never wants a surprise birthday party just moments before walking into his surprise party.

The video, posted by Kat or @mypancreasebroke, received more than 4.2 million views and 3,700 comments since Sunday, with many laughing about the clip.

Some other users mentioned a man who recently won a lawsuit and will be rewarded $300,000 in emotional damages after his company threw a surprise party that caused him to have a panic attack.

Panic attacks are more common than some think, with Better Health estimating about 35 percent of the population has experienced at least one.

During a panic attack, the body goes into flight or fight mode, making the individual experience shortness of breath, an increased heart rate and trembling, and it can last anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour.

In the video captioned "Don't worry, he forgave me and still loves me," the woman explained that her husband thought they were attending their friend's 30th surprise birthday party.

"But it's actually for him..." the on-screen text read.

As the woman and her husband were walking down the sidewalk, he began talking about how "pissed" he would be if he came home to find a bunch of people waiting to surprise him.

"I don't want to deal with all those people," the man said. "So don't ever do a surprise party for me, please."

"OK," his wife replied casually.

"I'm not mentally prepared," he said.

The video then cut to a clip that read "a few moments later" before jumping to more footage of her husband.

In the video, she tells her husband they are early for their friend's party but when her husband opens the door there is a large group of people shouting "surprise" and holding up paper cutouts of his face.

The man immediately turned toward his wife and laughed while saying "I'm going to murder you."

More than 3,700 users commented on the video, many laughing at the timing of it all.

"He literally manifested that himself lol it's his fault," one user commented.

"That whole conversation just replayed in his head," another wrote.

"He looked back at you like ... am I mad or so sorry I just said all that," another commenter wrote.

"All the little face cutouts make this ten times better," another added.

While many think surprise parties are enjoyable for all parties, they often go awry when the attendee feels uncomfortable or caught off guard.

In November, Newsweek reported on a man who instinctively pulled out his gun after he was surprised by guests at a surprise party inside his home.

One father went viral after squeezing into a Spiderman costume to surprise his son on his birthday. The video of his son meeting Spiderman went viral on social media, with many praising the father's efforts.
