Season 5 of Yellowstone will soon begin and fans will soon be reacquainted with the Dutton family.
The massively popular Paramount Network show is returning in what is slated to be the longest season yet.
To recap the Season 4 finale: John and Beth entered the world of politics; Jamie was forced to kill his own father; and Kayce had a vision of the end of his marriage.
Season 5 picks up months after the events of Season 4. To prepare you for the oncoming drama, here's Newsweek's guide for everything you need to know about the new season of Yellowstone.
Where Does Season 5 of Yellowstone Begin?
Season 4 ended with John Dutton III beginning his gubernatorial run. Season 5 commences with the ranch owner (portrayed by Kevin Costner) being sworn in as the new governor of Montana. Early footage from the new episodes shows John will be playing by his own rules in political office.
Meanwhile, Beth has Jamie under her thumb and with dirt on him. At the end of Season 4, Beth blackmailed Jamie into killing his birth father Garrett and she took pictures of Jamie disposing of the body.

Despite seeing the end of their relationship in a tribal initiation vision, Kayce and Monica are expecting their second child, and it looks like the baby is due any day.
The cast of Yellowstone Season 5
All of the show's regulars are returning for the new season. Aside from Costner as Dutton, British actress Kelly Reilly plays Beth and Wes Bentley returns as Jamie—while Luke Grimes portrays Kayce Dutton.
Actors Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Gil Birmingham, Forrie J. Smith, Denim Richards, Ryan Bingham and Ian Bohen are just some of the fan favorites returning to the ranch in Season 5, too.

Some actors who first appeared in Season 4 will return for the new season. Potential opponents of the Dutton family include Caroline Warner, CEO of Market Equities, who will once again be played by Jacki Weaver; Angela Blue Thunder, a tribal lawyer portrayed by Q'orianka Kilcher; while Jill Hennessy returns as Senator Huntington, now an uneasy ally for John Dutton.
New cast members joining include country music star Lainey Wilson, who will play a singer. Meanwhile, actress Dawn Olivieri gets a second chance to star in the Yellowstone universe. She portrayed the ill-fated role of Claire Dutton in the spin-off prequel 1883, but in Season 5 of Yellowstone she plays Sarah Atwood, a Market Equities employee who's introduced as an adversary to Beth Dutton.
