'Snyder Cut': Is 'Justice League' Still Available on HBO Max?

Zack Snyder's Justice League (aka the 'Snyder Cut') is set to be released on March 18, but some fans recently got an unanticipated sneak peek of the long-awaited film. HBO Max accidentally leaked the film onto the service, with the superhero movie airing for some viewers trying to watch Tom and Jerry.

Is the Snyder Cut still available to watch on HBO Max?

Sadly for fans who missed the news, the leak has now been fixed by HBO Max, meaning that unless there is another error, viewers will have to wait until March 18 to watch Zack Snyder's Justice League.

"Zack Snyder's Justice League was temporarily available on HBO Max and the error was addressed within minutes," HBO Max said in a statement.

However, at least one viewer was able to watch at least an hour of the film by clicking on Tom & Jerry. "I just wanted to put on Tom & Jerry for background noise while I worked, and instead I watched an hour of an amazing movie," Twitter user Doug Bass told The Hollywood Reporter after he was among the first to notice the error.

On his Twitter, Bass gave a review of what he had seen for those who missed their chance to see the new Justice League. He wrote: "The CGI finally rivals that of Marvel and you're gonna love it. That's all im saying. No spoilers. Get excited."

Viewers who missed the HBO Max leak and are hoping to see some images or footage from the accidental release will also be disappointed. Warner Bros. has been issuing takedown notices to all screencaps from the movie, with many images from the movie on Twitter now greyed out and reading, "this media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright holder."

What remains, however, is plenty of memes about HBO Max's error. One, for example, features an image of an episode of Tom & Jerry featuring Superman, with the caption, "Justice League (2021) dir. Zack Snyder."

Another reads: "BREAKING - We've got word that we know who's behind the #SnyderCut leak of #JusticeLeague on HBOMax..." with an image of the character of Agatha Harkness (played by Kathryn Hahn) from WandaVision.

Cyborg actor Ray Fisher was one of the only cast members to tweet about the leak. The actor, who has had a troubled history with the movie, tweeted: "You know what beats a leak? A flood of views on @hbomax! On March 18th we're watching #ZackSnydersJusticeLeague on repeat ALL DAY LONG!!! Who's streaming with me???"
