Beyoncé could be working on a film after one of her songwriters let slip the exciting news.

Syd, formerly known as Syd tha Kyd, has writing credits on Beyoncé's newest album, Renaissance.

The rapper shared a photo to her Instagram stories of a bouquet of white orchids. The flowers were sent to her with a note thanking her for her contribution to "the film." The songwriter tagged Beyoncé in the post.

"Thank you for contributing so much to the film. I'm looking at the footage and you're incredible... I'm forever grateful - B," the note read.

Syd also posted a selfie smiling widely beside the flowers. The posts were later deleted.

Syd rose to fame in the Odd Future rap collective alongside Tyler the Creator and Frank Ocean before starting her own band, The Internet.

She was one of five songwriters on Renaissance's eighth track "Plastic Off the Sofa" and is credited under her full name, Sydney Bennett.

Beyoncé fans quickly began speculating what film she could be referring to and suspected that it could be the accompanying visuals for Renaissance.

The singer has become synonymous with releasing epic long-form music films to accompany her albums, including Lemonade and The Lion King: The Gift, her soundtrack album for the 2019 Disney live-action remake of The Lion King.

She also released music videos for every song on her eponymous 2013 surprise album, Beyoncé.

"Beyoncé sent flowers to singer Syd and confirms the RENAISSANCE visuals are a film," speculated one fan on Twitter.

Another added: "Beyoncé we seen the note you sent syd. Now release the visuals & I'm not playing..."

And a third user wrote: "Does this mean a #Renaissance film is on the horizon?"

Newsweek has reached out to Beyoncé's representatives for comment.

Beyoncé released her seventh solo studio album at the end of July, explaining it was the first part of three acts, but has not elaborated further on what they are.

She recently confirmed she would be hitting the road with the new album, her first solo tour since her 2016 The Formation World Tour.

The tour announcement was made at the Wearable Art Gala, a fundraising event hosted by her mother Tina Knowles-Lawson and her husband Richard Lawson.

Beyoncé donated a concert ticket package for the gala's auction which revealed the tour will start in the summer of 2023 and include "national and international destinations."

Valued at $20,000, the package includes first-class plane tickets, a three-night hotel stay, two concert tickets, and a guided backstage tour from Beyoncé's mom.

Beyoncé has yet to make an official announcement about the tour.

Her last major live show was her record-making headline performance at Coachella in 2018. She also toured with her husband Jay-Z later that year for their second joint tour, On the Run II.
