Beyonce's 'Renaissance' Tour 2023 Is Happening: Everything We Know so Far

Beyoncé is taking her 2022 album Renaissance on tour in 2023, it has been confirmed.

The singer released her highly anticipated seventh solo studio album at the end of July, featuring tracks like her comeback single "Break My Soul," "America Has A Problem," and "Alien Superstar."

Renaissance's release sparked its fair share of drama, such as Kelis' response to the interpolation of her song "Milkshake," and the removal what was considered as an ableist slur from the song "Heated," but it has proved a huge hit with fans and critics.

For weeks now, rumors have been circulating that Beyoncé, who last toured a solo album in 2016 when she took Lemonade on the Formation World Tour, would be embarking on a stadium tour with Renaissance.

On October 22, it was confirmed at the fifth annual Wearable Art Gala, where Beyoncé, her husband Jay-Z and their eldest daughter Blue Ivy were in attendance, that the album will be taken on the road next year.

What We Know About Beyoncé's 2023 'Renaissance' Tour

At the Wearable Art Gala, hosted by Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles-Lawson and her husband Richard Lawson, a concert ticket package for Beyoncé's tour was auctioned off.

In a slide from the event, which has since been shared on Twitter, some key details were revealed about the Renaissance tour, including that it will start in summer 2023 and include "national and international destinations."

The auctioned package, which was valued at $20,000, included first-class plane tickets, a three-night hotel stay, two concert tickets, and a guided backstage tour from Beyoncé's mom, Tina.

A video from the event, shared by Yahoo! News, shows that bids for the ticket package reached at least $50,000 but, while the final price has not been officially confirmed, an attendee has claimed on Twitter that the final bid was $150,000.

Beyoncé has yet to make an official announcement about the Renaissance tour.

Newsweek has contacted a representative for the singer for comment.

While Beyoncé's last solo tour was the Formation World Tour in 2016, she and husband Jay-Z embarked on their second joint tour together, On the Run II, in 2018.

During that tour the couple, who married in 2008, released their joint album Everything Is Love.

Meanwhile, a fan theory about Renaissance is gaining traction online as fans have wondered whether Beyoncé has been tweaking the album online since its release.

Some fans are convinced the singer has changed lyrics, background vocals and even pauses between songs, while others have claimed the album sounds different between various music streaming platforms.

Beyoncé fans have speculated she may have made the tweaks to keep listeners hooked, while others suggested the "Partition" singer, who is a self-confessed perfectionist, has kept changing the album to make sure she is 100 percent happy with it.
