Hell hath no fury like a cat that doesn't get his own way, and a viral TikTok video featuring Paquito and his owner Andrea Sosa has exemplified just that.
After accidentally shutting 2-year-old Paquito out of her bedroom overnight, Sosa was greeted with a serious scolding from her fluffy friend.
In the viral video that was posted on Thursday by @paquito_thecat, which has been viewed over 12 million times, the feline makes his feelings clear, meowing and shouting at his human.
"I accidentally left him outside the room last night," read the text overlay on the video, accompanied by a caption that perfectly summed up Paquito's mood: "The way he's scolding me."
Sosa, who lives in Washington, D.C., regularly shares snippets of her life with her beloved feline companion. However, it was Paquito's dramatic reaction to being excluded from the bedroom that truly captivated viewers.
"He's very vocal when he's upset with me," Sosa told Newsweek.

As the cat continues to vocalize his displeasure with all the sass and attitude of a disgruntled teenager, the internet was in stitches.
"He cussed you out and all," wrote one amused TikTok user in the comments section. While another quipped, "He wants answers immediately!"
Even those who don't speak cat felt they could understand Paquito's message loud and clear. "I don't speak cat but I understood what he was saying," read one comment.
"I love sharing our special bond with the world because it brings so much happiness and joy for so many people," Sosa said, responding to the reaction from viewers on TikTok. "I get thousands of comments from people telling me that these videos bring them peace and calm, especially at a time when there's so much negativity and grief going on in the world."
Thankfully, all seemed to be forgiven by the end of the video as Paquito and his owner are shown cuddling up in bed together.
There are pros and cons to sharing a bed with your cat, and whether it works for you and your pet can be very personal, according to Dr. Amber Carter, doctor of veterinary medicine and member of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners and owner of Cat Care Clinic in Ormond Beach, Florida, who previously spoke to Newsweek.
Sleeping with your cat can increase happiness, decrease feelings of loneliness and boost your mood. But feline bedfellows can also disrupt your sleep, waking you up at various hours of the night for attention.
Allowing your cat in your bedroom can strengthen your bond, and some studies even suggest that overexposure to cats, especially from a young age, can help lower the risk of developing asthma.
But other negatives include the higher temperature of cats that could make you feel too warm at night. There is also a small safety threat of accidentally rolling over or startling your cat while sleeping, which could lead to your cat attacking you in defense.
If you do choose to share a bed with your cat, it is advised that you change your sheets more often to remove pet dander and consider an air filter to minimize any irritation from allergies.
