Dancing With the Stars fans have called out the ballroom competition's judges, saying that Shangela and dancing partner Gleb Savchenko have been underscored.

Ru Paul's Drag Race and We're Here favorite Shangela, born Darius Jeremy Pierce, is a contestant on Season 31 of the series, which features Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough on the panel.

On the October 10 episode of Dancing With the Stars, which now streams on Disney+, Shangela and Savchenko performed a Charleston to Dig a Little Deeper from the animated Disney movie The Princess and the Frog.

The pair scored an eight from each of the judges, making their overall score a very respectable 32 out of 40.

Some viewers, however, weren't happy with the scores and believed that Shangela and Savchenko were being judged harshly and should have scored all nines like Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy, Wayne Bradey and Witney Carson, and Charli D'Amelio and Mark Ballas.

On Reddit, user micronesiarain posted: "Shangela is consistently getting underscored. They've had many celebs in the past with imperfect technique that they fawn over because they have good stage presence. Where's that for Shangela?

"She is such a captivating performer but they keep nitpicking the tiniest things with her. I need to see her make it to the freestyle!!"

Dancing With the Stars fans shared similar messages on Twitter, with one writing: "Just re-watched #dwts and Shangela should have gotten all 9s like some other couples tonight."

"Not gonna stop being salty about Shangela's damn score #DWTS," added another, as a third posted: "The fact that both Gabby and Heidi have gotten 9s with imo quite noticeable mistakes, yet Shangela can perform almost perfect and not get a single 9? She's getting grossly underscored at this point and I'm sick #DWTS."

Shangela and Savchenko sailed through to the next week of Dancing With the Stars, and it was Sam Champion and Cheryl Burke who were ultimately sent home by the judges after facing Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater in the bottom two.

Meanwhile, Shangela recently posted a hilarious TikTok in response to Tyra Banks' Dancing With the Stars co-host Alfonso Ribeiro mistakenly using the name "Angela" during the October 3 episode.

Following the name mix-up, Shangela recorded a video singing along to the viral sound from Nicki Minaj's Super Freaky, as part of the "One Thing About Me" trend.

The lyrics began: "One thing about me is that just last week I was on Dancing With the Stars and I was dancing so chic, and then we were like yes, come on, let's get these scores and when they gave us an 8 I was like 'yes Lord yes Lord'."

"And then I hop up and I was like 'let's go upstairs so we can talk to Alfonso Ribeiro' because I've loved him ever since he was Carlton and then I was like 'we gonna get this baby, let's get it done'," Shangela continued.

"So he turned to Gleb and said 'Gleb, how you gonna turn the dial down on Angela?' and I was like 'huh?'" before looking around the room and into the camera confused.

"Who is Angela?" the star, who hashtagged the video #whosangela, continued, adding: "Once again, who is Angela?"

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on Disney+. The episodes are available to stream after their original airing.
